Happy Spring, guys! I can’t believe it’s finally here. I’m ridiculously excited to have this baby… and for warm weather. (Highs in the 50s late next week in Chicago!) But I’m also trying so hard not to wish away months. 😉 What better way, though, to celebrate the new season than with a little wardrobe update with J.Crew Factory, which is currently having a huge sale?! (40 to 60 percent off tons of styles, and an extra 40 percent off the clearance section when you use code “SHOPSALE.” Buy one top or shirt and get one free with that code, too!)

Mitch and I snapped these photos on our last day in Rhode Island. We stayed at the Weekapaug Inn, which is one of the most beautiful (and coziest) hotels we’ve ever visited! I’m going to do a full post on it in a few days–next week is the week of RI content!–but I thought I’d share some pics we took on a walk we took along the beaches. It was pretty chilly while we were in Rhode Island, but as you can see, the clouds parted and the sun came out on that last day… and we got a true glimpse of spring. It felt so good to shed some layers. :)

Of course, I can’t fit into much these days since I’m in my third trimester. 😜 (Though I have been relying on some awesome button-down shirts, which I really couldn’t live without right now! They include this pink gingham shirt you see in these photos, this navy gingham shirt I’ve owned for years, the softest chambray shirt known to man, and this striped classic.) But here’s what I’m pining after for “post baby” as well as some of my favorite closet staples. I love that nearly everything can be mixed and matched! It’s almost like a springtime capsule wardrobe. ;)

Favorite products

2. Chambray bow pants: These are CUTE… but also extremely comfy. (They made an appearance here on the blog last year!) Pair ’em with a simple tee or a slinky camisole, and you’ve got a really adorable (and easy) outfit! TTS.

5. Huarache sandals: If you buy any pair of shoes this season, make it this pair. I adore mine! (You can see them in this post and this post.) They’re made from super soft leather and have a good layer of padding, and they’re 100-percent my “most reached for” spring/summer sandals. They go with everything, too! If you’re interested, just make sure to order soon, as they sold out last year very quickly. :) They run totally TTS, btw. I normally wear a 7.5 in flats and I took a 7.5 in these, too.

10. Scalloped sweater: YES! I ordered this in the beige color for “post baby” because I loved it so much. I can’t wait to wear it. I’d recommend going up one or two sizes, as it runs small. (Will not work for maternity, in case you’re wondering.) I went up two, and I think it’ll be perfect for this summer.

11. Everyday sandals: I don’t own these (YET), but I’ve heard that they’re the comfiest sandals ever. They’re in my cart!

16. Multi-strand pearl necklace: Whenever I’m looking to dress up an outfit, I throw this necklace on and it does the trick. It’s also the only “statement necklace” I ever bring when traveling. I’ve had mine for years and it never fails me. :) So timeless!

17. Striped swing dress: This is a current favorite. I wore it in this post! It’s non-maternity, but it even works well on women with bumps. It’s THAT flattering! It obviously runs big, so if you’re pregnant, I would size down. But it’s meant to be swingy!

18. Scalloped camisole: SUCH a huge fan of this closet staple, which you can see styled in this post and this post. I have it in both white and black, and they pair well with nearly anything. I wear mine under blazers during the spring and throw them on with skinny jeans for summer date nights. Trust me: You need one! Sizing: totally TTS.

19. Softest chambray shirt: Another staple! I styled it here back in the fall. It’s truly the softest chambray shirt I own, and the one I reach for most. Runs a bit large; I’d go down one size. (I went up three sizes for maternity, though!)

What do you have your eye on this season?!
