If you read my last “Recent Finds” post, you might remember how excited I was to put the house back together after a very busy October. And while construction is still in full-swing and the first floor and basement are total wrecks 🙈, I attacked the master bedroom and my office yesterday, and I’m feeling great about it! Everything is clean and orderly, and I just feel so much more positive and motivated as a result. I already tackled Emma’s room a few weeks back, and I’m going to do the same to Lucy’s today. Boom!

Btw: We are making slow progress with construction over here. Here’s a mini update:

Home Depot disappeared for a while and left the backsplash incomplete in the kitchen. I handled it far better than I thought I would. 😂 Mitch gave them a stern talking to, though, and they returned yesterday. Today, all they have left to do is the grout! I’m pumped. (Here are our plans + “before” photos, a progress post, and some cute pics of the girls in the kitchen.)
The fireplaces (in the living room and in the basement) have been re-tiled with marble! We’re really happy with how they look.
The built-in cabinets are delayed and we have no idea when they’ll arrive. I’m a little bummed about this because we don’t have a living area to hang out in, and that’s hard with two young children. Staying positive, though! Luckily, it’s early November, and it’s not completely freezing yet… so we’re just spending as much time out of the house as possible!
The chair rail and picture frame molding are currently being installed in the living/dining rooms + basement. We LOVE it.

So yeah. We’ve been finding ourselves outdoors way more often, and therefore I’ve been shooting more outfits. ;) I seriously think I have like 10 ready to go live! SO unlike me this year, haha. But shooting during the fall is one of my absolute favorite activities, and I’m grateful that I’m doing it so often! (Silver lining, right?)
