Happy Friday, guys! Mitch and I had a date night last night! It was the best. My mother-in-law came up to watch Emma, and we went out in Wrigleyville and then saw Jens Lekman at Metro Chicago. (Such a great artist if you don’t know about him yet! My favorite song is “A Postcard to Nina.”) The last time we’d had a true date night was this night, which wasn’t that long ago… but goodness, it’s nice to have one-on-one time every few weeks or so!

Anyway, these photos were obviously taken in Charleston, because I’m living in the past. ;) If you missed it, here’s my mini guide to the city, which I posted earlier this week. (Here’s what I wore on our first night, and here’s another outfit.) But Beth snapped the pics while we were exploring, and I fell completely in love with the Elliott Street. So much so that I might have Zillowed homes on the tiny street. (So… that’s not happening, haha!)

In regard to what I wore on this particularly gorgeous day, this Lilly Pulitzer top, which is sadly sold out, is a fave. This newer white lace top has a very similar cut, though, and I also have and love this one, which I wore in Charleston here; this one, which I haven’t worn on the blog yet; and this one, which I also wore during our trip! These are my go-to dark jeans that, while traveling, I can wear all day and then easily transition into a nighttime look… and I can’t sing the praises of my Longchamp tote enough. I’ve had it forever, but it’s so wonderful for travel, as it holds a ton and folds up in a tiny square. I am, however, considering the backpack for our trip to LA! Totally hands-free Mom? I like the sound of that…

Switching gears, I’m off to a coffee shop this morning to get some work done, and then I’m heading to Kentucky with Jess for Shaheen’s baby shower tomorrow! I’m really excited, and apparently Jess is planning some sort of Q&A on Instagram during our long drive… so be sure to follow along beforehand. Oy. I am not good on camera, Jessica… I’ve told you this! ;)
