Guys, I have some awesome news: I’m about to see my family a lot over the coming months. I can’t even express how excited I am! And Noodle’s clearly pumped to meet everyone, haha. (She’s actually yawning in this photo… but doesn’t she look ecstatic? Too cute for words.)

The last time I saw my family was in July, so I’m dying for some quality time with them. Next weekend, Mitch, Noodle and I are driving up to Wisconsin where my grandmother and step-grandfather have a lake house, and my parents are flying in for the weekend as well. I plan driving home with Noodle sometime in October, too. In November, my mom, Grammie and Auntie-M are coming to Chicago, and my brother and his adorable fiancé are planning on visiting a couple of weeks after that. And then Mitch, Noodle and I are headed back to the East Coast for Thanksgiving… and Christmas. Eeee!

One of my biggest fears about moving to Chicago was that I wouldn’t be able to handle being so far away from my family, but I’m realizing now that 800 miles is nothing. I can be home within a few short hours–it’s a two-hour plane ride or a 12-hour drive–and my family is more than willing to travel to me. How did I get to be so lucky?

Love you guys so much. Can’t wait to see you!
