Woooo! It’s finally Friday. Today, Mitch and I (and Noodle) are embarking on the first leg of our 14-hour drive back to the East Coast for Christmas, and I’m beyond excited. Of course, I have a ton of stuff to do before picking Mitch up at work–finish a couple of blog-related projects, line up posts, edit photos, pack, fold laundry, do a photo shoot, pick up a few last-minute gifts, and clean–but I can totally do this, right?!
(Oh my goodness.)
I’m a disaster when it comes to traveling. I want to change, but I seemingly can’t. No matter how organized I think I am, there are always a dozen or so things I “have” to do at the last minute, and I end up working myself into a tizzy. Maybe it’s because I under-plan. Or maybe it’s because I over-plan.
Oh, the best-laid plans… ;)
But seriously. How could I be completely organized for a trip like this?
12/19: First leg of trip to the East Coast (We’re planning on staying in a hotel with Noodle tonight somewhere in Ohio or western Pennsylvania, so we’ll see how that goes, haha)
12/20: Second leg of trip to the East Coast; Arrive in Pennsylvania for brother’s birthday party
12/21: Drive to Long Island for family Christmas Party; Sleep in Manhattan
12/22: New York City; Maybe drive to Vermont at night (?)
12/23: Drive to Vermont (?)
12/23 – 12/25: Vermont for Christmas
12/26: First leg of trip back to Illinois; Stop at Niagara Falls because we’ve never been; Stay at a hotel that allows dogs
12/27: Second leg of trip back to Illinois; Arrive at Larkins’ lake house
12/28-1/2: Christmas/New Year’s at the lake
(So exciting!! Eeee!!)
Are you guys traveling this weekend?! Please tell me there’s someone out there with crazier plans than ours! ;)
