We’re safely back in Chicago! Denver was amazing, and I’m definitely sad that the trip is over. Mitch and I spent some real quality (alone) time together, and Dan and Laura’s celebration was nothing short of magical. But coming home to the sweetest baby in the world? I have no words. :) I think I hugged her for nearly five hours straight, right up until bedtime.
Anyway, if you missed my first “Dressing Room Stories” about this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, here it is. The background is that Mitch and I arrived in Denver a little early, and it just so happened that our Airbnb was roughly five minutes from Nordstrom. So we hopped on over for a couple of hours and tried on a LOT of stuff. It was so much fun, and we couldn’t stop laughing. Granted, Mitch was working on the couches on his laptop for the majority of the time, but every once in a while, I’d come out of the dressing room, and he’d say something like, “Oh! Very nice! What is that? A shirt? A dress? A jacket? You look great.” Hahaha. I adore him.

SO SOFT. The bag also comes in a smaller version here, a satchel version here, and hobo version here–and it’s no wonder. The quality of the leather is off the charts… and if I were in need of another tote, this one would be coming home with me. (In light pink, which would go with everything!)
Sizing
I’m a “tote” girl through and through, simply because I’m always carrying so much gear with me–whether it’s baby stuff, photography gear, or laptops and organizers. The tote works best for me, but I love that satchel!

This coat will likely be sold out by the time that I write about it, but no worries: I’m almost positive that it’ll be restocked by the time Public Access arrives this Friday. Yes, temps are in the 80s right now. But before we know it, Chicago will be freezing, and I’ll need this thing desperately. In a sea of black coats, strive to stand out. ;)
Sizing
I’m wearing a size large here because it was the only size I could find on the floor… but I ordered an XS. I’ll report back, but my feeling is to go with your usual size, as I was kind of swimming in the coat featured above!
Review
A pop of red goes a long way during the summer, and I can coincidentally walk a long way in these adorable mules. I love pairing mine with navy-and-white striped tees!

I’m wearing a size XS here, but it’s relatively snug, so I think I’d actually buy a size small so I could fit sweaters underneath. Oh, Chicago winters…

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’m all about the preppy statement earrings this year. These, though, are like nothing else I’ve seen, and they remind me of buoys!

If you live in a colder climate, you need a long, cozy cardigan. I mean, in many cases, it can double as a coat! There’s nothing I love more than cozying up when fall and winter arrive… and this cardigan will definitely do the trick.
Sizing
I’m wearing a size large here, but I ordered a size XS. My best recommendation would be to order as soon as possible (it’s been selling out quickly!), and order your correct size.

What a show-stopper. I just love the ruffled sleeves, and I adore the fact that the top is a bit heavier and therefore warmer.

I’m a little confused on this one. IS it a dress? Or is it a skirt? Or is it a tunic, meant to be worn with leggings and leggings only? Whatever the case, Mitch couldn’t figure it out either… but we both agreed the bow detailing on the back was pretty cute.

Ahhhh, the classic pair of Tory Burch riding boots. I bought mine a few years ago at the sale, and I maintain that this is always the best time to buy ’em, as full-priced TB boots are kind of outrageous. ;)
Sizing
I’d recommend going a half size up. While I typically wear a size 7 or 7.5 in riding boots, I almost always take a 8 in Tory Burch boots.
