I also have this striped dress I wore in this post, and this “stamped” dress I wore in this post!) / Tory Burch Tote / Kate Spade Sunglasses (Old, similar here and here) / Benevolent Jewels Necklace c/o / Daniel Wellington Watch c/o / Moon and Lola Earrings c/o Tuckernuck (Also love these and these!)
I’ve been living in my Hunter boots this past week. But as much I love wearing ’em, I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming–completely dry–week. For obvious reasons, haha. Have you read my “Guide to Buying Hunter Boots” post? Should be helpful if you’re looking to invest in a pair for the fall!
Don’t worry. It’s not snowing in Chicago yet. ;) Bean Boots here!
And since we’re on the subject of boots, it’s 100-percent time to purchase a pair of Bean Boots if you want a pair for this fall/winter. They sell out VERY quickly, so order now! Sizing advice: Go down a full size, unless you’re in between sizes. For example, I typically wear a 7.5, and went with a size 7 in my Bean Boots. While they’re definitely a little roomy, they’re great with thick socks… and the size 6s were a bit too small.
Other advice: Go for the Thinsulate or Gor-Tex/Thinsulate versions if you plan on wearing them during the colder seasons. Mine are not warm enough for Chicago winters! I also love Sperry’s version, which comes in plaid and quilted versions, too.
Anyway, Mitch and I escaped down to my in-laws’ lake house for the weekend, and it was just what we needed. :) We’re sanding and staining the farmhouse table we made over Labor Day weekend (a full feature to follow!), drinking wine, chatting, and taking in the views. It’s been lovely.
Hope you’re having a great weekend, too! (What are you up to? I’d love to hear!) And thank you for all the kind messages this past week. I know I said it before, but I really can’t say it enough: you guys are the best.
Oh, and I just got some GREAT news. One of my very best friends, Allie, is visiting from THAILAND this week. (Yes, she lives there.) So stay tuned for some fun! So exciting. :)
