Kelly is featuring Lands' End from Walmart

Lands’ End Trench Coat (Available in plus size, too.) / Lands’ End Gingham Polo / Mitch’s Lands’ End Squall Jacket / Mitch’s Lands’ End Button-Down / Similar Round SunglassesBoat Shoes (Just ordered these, though, and so excited! Also love these loafers with a tiny bit of a heel.) / Nearly Identical Jeans for a STEAL! (Here’s the pair I’m wearing.)

I feel like these photos are a very accurate depiction of my life this week. 😂 But yeah: please excuse the frizzy hair. I CLEARLY need a better de-frizzer and weather app. The iPhone one is completely unreliable. Clear skies and 65 degrees? Ha! Though to be honest, I don’t mind too much. (Do you remember this post?! Happiness…)

Anyway, life is about to change big time for us in roughly two weeks when Emma starts full-day pre-school. (😭) We’re not enrolling Lucy in full-day childcare for the time being because I’m not ready, but Mitch and I are planning on switching on and off with her so we both get solid chunks of work time throughout the week. As a result, I’ll likely be getting out of the house more (YAY) and spending a lot more time at coffee shops near the school to maximize productivity on my drop-off/pick up days. And while I’m a little teary eyed about Emma going off to school, I have to admit that I’m excited for the change of pace! HELLO, WORLD. I’M BACK.

But what to wear? As much as I love wearing dresses and heels, they’re just not practical for my everyday on-the-go-while-wearing-50-different-hats lifestyle. ;) Here, though, are some versatile, comfortable and cute basics–all available via Walmart!–that I rely on during the fall.

Coats and jackets: From September until November, before Chicago turns into an arctic tundra, you’ll usually find me in trench coats, quilted jackets and lighter wool coats. My mom has always purchased outerwear from Lands’ End (now carried at Walmart), so I decided to try the brand’s trench. Huge fan! It runs TTS and it’s a much lighter weight than my other one. Love the side pockets.

Polos: I’m really getting into polos again. I keep seeing them everywhere, and I’m like, yes! I’m here for it. It’s a bit of a flashback to middle and high school, but I’m just staying away from white ones, as that was my uniform shirt. Oh, and light blue, haha. But I love this gingham one from Lands’ End. Leave it to me to find a gingham polo!

Jeans: Every girl needs new denim for the start of fall! (This pair is probably my favorite.) Btw: I’m thinking that it’s time to try high-rise jeans. (I KNOW. Took me long enough.) But I’m looking for a pair that isn’t tight around the waist. The roomier, the better. Any help is appreciated! :)

Flats: Boat shoes and loafers, specifically. If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember my little “Loafer of the Day” segment I did back in the spring. Well, it’s just about time to trade in my sandals for flats, so get ready! It’s coming back. (Just ordered these and I’m so excited! My eye’s on this pair of loafers that have a tiny bit of a heel, too, and a bunch of others that I’ve linked above. 😳 I’ve always been a shoe girl.)

Sunglasses: When my beloved sunglasses from 2013 broke earlier this year, I became a little more open to finding other pairs I liked. Don’t these look so much like the original pair?!

What’s amazing about everything above is that Walmart carries all of it–even the products from premium brands. So while you’re stocking up on household products and back-to-school essentials for the kids, you can kill two birds and fill any wardrobe holes you might have. The best part? A ton of products are Next-Day Eligible, perfect for those of us (🙋🏼‍♀️) who can’t get their acts together. ;)

Before I go, I wanted to make a note about Mitch’s jacket, which is the Lands’ End Squall Jacket, made famous in the 80s. (Who had one?!) It’s back and better than ever, just in case anyone is looking for a good guy’s gift. :) Btw: the word “squall” refers to a sudden gust of violent wind bringing on storms of rain, snow or sleet. (So perfect for Chicagoans. 😜)

And Mitch, thanks for letting me test my camera settings on you… and for letting me include those “test pics” in this post. xoxo!
