Style blogging during Chicago winters is difficult. We were lucky this year, and had quite the mild one, but still: throwing off your coat in freezing temperatures is NO FUN. In fact, I typically sing “I can’t feel my face when I’m with you” by The Weekend when I’m shooting with Jess because… most of the time, I really can’t feel my face. Brrr! (And yes, I realize the song is actually about drugs, haha. And yes, I realize that I seem crazy for throwing off my coat in the first place, but just read this post. Obviously, ignore the Uggs.)
While we’ve been blessed with quite a few extremely warm days over the last few weeks, we’ve also experienced some chillier ones–and this fleece turtleneck from Dudley Stephens has been such a godsend for those occasions. I don’t necessarily need to be bundled up in wool sweaters during 40-degree days, but I certainly can’t get away with actual springtime attire. I love that the top is cozy enough to wear throughout my workdays, but cute enough to wear to nighttime stuff, too. Paired with skinnies and pumps? Perfect.
Unfortunately, I had to put in a full day of work yesterday, and I’ll be working most of today, too. First time in a long time that I’ve had to do this, but I also essentially took off an entire week to hang out with Mom, haha. SO worth it. And hey–I’d much rather sacrifice a weekend to the catch up game than miss out on trips home or suffer meltdowns during the week!
(Mitch and I also managed to escape to grab dinner together and hang out with Jess and Neal for a few hours last night. Such a great time! Though pretty sure Noodle licked off every bit of Jess’ makeup…)
Keep me company, though. ;) What are you up to today?!

Nice post!
We are enjoying the last day of our spring break. It’s still full winter here, but I am sure soon we’ll start having more sun and above zero days.
Nice and sunny spring days to you!
Loving your weekend attire.
