Before we left for our holiday travels, Mitch and I took an hour break to grab coffee and get some air. It was NUTS. 😉
In all seriousness, though, it was one of my favorite memories of the season. We were alone, and everywhere we went seemed to smell like chocolate and crackling fires. (There’s a chocolate factory downtown, and sometimes I can get a whiff of the sweetness up in Lincoln Park!) It just felt calm. The way Christmas should feel. ;)
I loved taking in all the decor. Admittedly, we only walked two blocks 😆, both home to houses that are mostly newer and have similar looks. Didn’t get to capture very many older homes’ character, which is what I truly adore, but round II next year, for sure! (Isn’t it interesting how blocks often have their own styles?!)
Anyway, I thought I’d share the 10 or so photos I snapped with my phone during our quick walk. Added in a couple of nighttime pics, too, since I had to show you the house with the 14 FULL-SIZED REAL CHRISTMAS TREES STRAPPED TO IT while it was all lit up.
You’re welcome. Ha!
