Everlane Day Boot c/o (Now available in navy! I also love the ecru and black. And the burgundy is on major sale!) / Gold Initial NecklaceJ.Crew Regent Blazer (The Parke Blazer in camel is available in way more sizes! I also own J.Crew Factory’s more affordable version and love it! The “Going Out” Blazer is actually what I wear when I go out, btw, because it’s a bit more polished. If you’re pregnant, try the Sophie Sweater Blazer or the Juliette Sweater Blazer, as I think they fall a lot more flatteringly with a bump. Order the Sophie one or two sizes down.).

Softest “Modern Boatneck” Tee by Gap (Can’t recommend it more! It feels like pajamas, and it also comes in a striped version and a STRIPED DRESS VERSION, which I’m in love with and so badly wish I could wear. Here’s the maternity version in both solid and stripe, which I’m obviously wearing in these photos.) / Louis Vuitton MM Neverfull Tote (Looking for a super affordable everyday tote? Go for this $49 bag from Nordstrom. I use mine constantly!) / Burberry Scarf / Old Navy Rockstar Jeans (Maternity version here. SWEAR by these!)

Remember a few years ago, when all I would do is talk about how much I loved Sam Edelman’s Petty Chelsea Booties? I said over and over how they were the most comfortable boots I’d ever owned, which was true at the time. But huzzah! There’s a new boot on the block, and it’s a zillion times better. (CRAZY, I KNOW.)

I first learned about the Everlane Day Boots from Jess, who got them for a trip to Europe. She was nervous about bringing a pair of shoes to Europe having never worn them before, as there would be so much walking… but she’d received them right before the trip and therefore just crossed her fingers and hoped for the best. The verdict? CLOUD BOOTS. 😍 How you’d imagine boots from Rothy’s would feel. 😂

Everlane sent me a pair of the Day Boots last month, and I was really psyched. Like, I was checking the tracking on the package and everything. That kind of psyched. ;) I’m always after finding the newest pair of “cloud shoes,” after all. (Btw: If you don’t know much about the company yet, here’s my full review of Everlane. I get so many of my basics from them, for very good reason!)

When the Day Boots arrived, I quickly put them on and realized that my life would be forever changed. Dramatic? Yes. But guys. Let’s talk about why they’re so wonderful.

Everlane Day Boot Review

Buttery soft leather: It’s insane, Friends. It’s Italian leather, and made to mold and form to your feet instantly; zero break-in time. I can’t tell you how comfortable it is, and I’m not sure how to how do the softness any justice with words. I wish I could pass the boot through the computer screen to you so you could feel! It’s just… magic. And said magic is the reason that you won’t receive a single blister or experience any rubbing whatsoever. It’s just not possible! I promise.

High enough to hide socks: LOVE THIS. I’m getting more and more comfortable with having black or preppy fair isle socks show when I’m wearing booties, but I’m not 100-percent there if I’m being honest. ;) The Day Boots, though, cover socks completely… which is why they’re pretty much the only bootie I now wear.

Great cushioning: Inside the boot, you’ll find awesome padding. It’s not orthopedic-level thickness; it’s actually quite thin. But it’s very effective. I do a lot of city walking, and the Day Boots’ padding is so fabulous that even my pregnancy feet don’t hurt! Thanks, Everlane. I love you.

2-inch heel made for confidence and comfort: Do you feel a gazillion times more confident when you’re wearing a heel, too? I don’t know what it is; I just feel more put-together and “grown up,” almost? Normally, though, heels hurt me, and I only wear them when I know I’ll be able to take them off after a couple of hours. But I can wear the Day Boots all day, as the name suggests. ;) Cloud shoes with height! It’s a miracle!

Tons of color options: Everlane just released a ton of new colors, and now the Day Boot is available in the brown you see here, black, white, “Ecru,” “Smoke,” NAVY, and “Iron.” I will confess that I want more colors, haha. I LOVE the “Ecru,” and can almost guarantee that you’ll be seeing it here soon, as I think it’ll go amazingly with “winter white” outfits. But then there’s NAVY, which is a no-brainer for a girl whose closet is mostly comprised of navy. And then there’s the classic black! Ahhhh. Decisions, decisions.

Easy to put on and get off: It’s a cinch, even when you have a toddler pulling on you. The zipper goes far down, so your foot slips in and out easily.

They go with everything: They really do! I’m wearing them here with skinny jeans, but they also look adorable with leggings, dresses and skirts. Even wider-legged pants, as they have a slim, glove-like fit, and complement the opposite!

Sizing: TTS, but I did order a half size up, which is what I always do with boots, so I could wear thicker socks with them. Happy I did! (I normally wear a 7.5 in shoes, and I went with an 8 in the Day Boot.)

Pricing: They’re $235 and worth every penny. The Burgundy color is on sale, btw!

A request for Everlane: PLEASE, Everlane, make me a “Day Riding Boot” or a “Day Over-the-Knee Boot” with the same leather. I need them in my life! (Looking for the rest of Everlane’s “Day” shoe collection? Here’s the Day Heel, the Day Glove, and the Day High Heel. And if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, there are lots of colors on sale.

Questions?

Let me know! But yes: This is the boot of the year, and the only pair guaranteed to provide extreme happiness and get you through the rest of this torturous winter. ;) Happy Friday!
