I’m getting into a bit of a groove here. I’ve eased up on myself; I’m no longer trying to do everything I used to, and I’m slowly starting to feel content with this (much) slower lifestyle. I threw the mile-long to-do list out the window and now make a list every morning with three tasks on it. A seemingly small change, but such a big impact on my outlook. 🤗
Of course, our house is a complete disaster and I found a ton of legos in all my shoes this morning. 😂
But it’s fine. ;)
Another positive for the ol’ disposition? After a few spring snows, the weather is finally warming up in Chicago. We snapped these photos last weekend when temps were in the 70s, and it was glorious. We spent the entirety of the day in the backyard, jumping on the trampoline, grilling, working on the plant situation, chatting with neighbors over fences, and playing games. It was awesome, and never have we felt more grateful for outdoor space.
I wore my new Cole Haan ZEROGRAND Global Trainers, which were perfect for all the activities. (They’re also on sale right now!) Made for commuting, city living and working out, the sneakers feature multiple layers of cushioning, and they’re super lightweight. The breathability is pretty phenomenal, too. (They have ventilating and temperature-regulating materials so that you stay dry.) Oh! And you really only need to tie them once, because they’re secretly slip-on sneakers. The tongue is completely attached. Isn’t that cool?
