Burberry Jacket on Sale

1901 Button Front Skirt (I LOVE it in red, too. In houndstooth here, and in floral here.) / Burberry Jacket (On sale! This never happens! Size up. I normally wear an XS/0 in jackets, and took a small in this one. This is a new navy Burberry jacket. Pretty cute!) / Tory Burch Flats (Here are the pumps! Both versions run totally TTS.) / Tory Burch Tote (Here’s the mini version.) / Old J.Crew Mock Neck Top / Similar Sunglasses

Okay! A few things:

  • The classic quilted Burberry jacket is on sale today. (NOT part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which is awesome for non-card holders! Though don’t worry: Public Access starts tomorrow.) This is a big deal because it rarely happens, and it’s timeless, so you really can’t feel much regret over purchasing it. I’ve had mine (in both navy and black) for several years now and they just never go out of style. Sizing: I highly recommend going up one size in this jacket. It runs small. I almost always wear an XS/0 in jackets, and I went up to a small in this one. Hope that helps! (Also, it’s definitely a fall and/or spring jacket. Or summer if you live in Chicago. 🙄)
  • This is your last chance to enter to win the $100 giveaway! For an extra entry, tell us about something you’re looking forward to (in the comment section below). It can be ANYTHING–something that’s just around the corner or far into the future. :) Remember to leave your e-mail address in the following non-spammy format so we can get in touch with you: kelly [at] kellyinthecity [dot] com. Winner will be announced tomorrow AM so she can shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (Public Access!) or buy those gummy bears. (Regardless, tune in tomorrow b/c I’ll be highlighting my favorite products that were restocked overnight AND announcing another giveaway. Phew!)
  • Follow us on Instagram Stories! As I mentioned, the blog is going to be on autopilot for a while because we’re going on three back-to-back trips. I probably won’t be able to help myself and log on to touch base once or twice, but that also might not happen. If it doesn’t, you’ll see a lot of #NSale outfits here until we get back… but we’ll be sharing our real day-to-day lives on Instagram + Stories in the meantime. Keep up with us there! :)

Sale outfit details

  • 1901 Button Front Skirt: (Marked back up to $79 after the sale ends.) SO CUTE. I was drawn to this one immediately when the sale started. While it’s now sold out in the camel color, I suspect it’ll be restocked on Friday. I would also say that it runs fairly true to size. I’m wearing a size 2 in it, which is what I normally go with in skirts. It’s good, but I think I could have gone up to the size 4, too. (That was confusing. Haha. But basically, order your regular size or one size up, depending on whether you like your skirts to fit higher on the waist or lower.) Btw: I LOVE it in red, too. In houndstooth here, and in floral here.
  • Tory Burch Flats: (Marked back up to $248 after the sale ends.) Without a doubt, these are the comfiest Tory Burch flats I’ve ever tried. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m still kind of scarred from the old design of the Tory Burch Reva flats. AWFUL. At least for me, they were. So painful, and I was always walking out of them. The sale flats, however, are buttery soft and stay on my feet without an issue. Here are the pumps! Both versions run totally TTS and are insanely comfy. I wore the flats downtown yesterday and no pain!
  • Tory Burch Tote: (Marked back up to $528 after the sale ends.) LOVE. For the purposes of reviewing it and featuring it over these next couple of weeks, I bought it in both the light pink and the brown colors. I can’t decide which I like better! The brown is currently sold out, but be on the lookout for it on Friday. (Plus, I’m assuming we’ll start to see returns coming in soon.) The pink and black versions are available, though. I’ll do a longer post on it soon, but I’m a huge fan of how many pockets it has. There’s a large zippered pocket that runs across the middle dividing it into two parts, and then there’s a zippered pocket on one side and a couple of open pockets on the other. I also love the length of the straps. As you can see, I can get it over my shoulder–even when I’m wearing a jacket–without an issue. And when I pick Emma up, it doesn’t slide around and hit her in the face. (Added bonus. 😉) If you need a bag that’ll bring you from day to night (especially during the work week), this is a GREAT option. Here’s the mini version.
