Emma and Lucy are usually great sleepers, but last weekend, they both weirdly got up at the crack of dawn. As you can tell from these photos, though, we had a pretty great time. ☺️
There’s just nothing cuter than witnessing the girls greet each other in the morning. Emma will shout, “MY SISTER! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!” And Lucy will squeal with delight. No life is perfect, but whenever this happens, I think to myself, “Well, this is pretty darn close.”
As Lucy is becoming more independent and learning how to interact with us, we really seem to be coming into our own as a family. And I can’t believe that soon, she’ll be chatting our ears off, too! I don’t want to wish away any time with our kids, but I kind of can’t wait for that.
Anyway, please enjoy these silly pics today, as the snow falls down on Chicago. (Oy.) Sorry about the quality! It was SO dark, haha. But a big thanks to The Children’s Place for the adorable matching buffalo check pajamas in celebration of #60daysofplaid. I adore them! And be sure to scroll down to the last photo in my post and zoom in on Noodle’s face. 😂
I can’t.
Note: We’re headed home today! Wish us luck with our flight. With any hope, #larkinluck doesn’t strike. ;)
