How do we feel about the long vest craze, guys? It’s funny: I typically steer clear of trends, as I worry about investing money in pieces that’ll go out of style quickly. (Lesson learned from colored jeans, haha.) But I can’t get enough of this year’s vest thing. Maybe it’s because Maya has been wearing a ton of them lately, and I adore her style. Or maybe it’s because this is the warmest fall I can remember, and vests are perfect for those in-between, transitional days.
Whatever the case, I’m obsessed with my first long vest, which is from White House Black Market. I wore it for the first time on Sunday, for Kit‘s birthday brunch at Rural Society (more on that later!), and was beyond impressed by its warmth and quality. I also loved that it allowed me to a dress up an otherwise very casual outfit. (Anyone else refuse to sacrifice comfort on Sundays?!)
In other news, my friend Mandi and her Insta-famous French bulldog, Harriett, are visiting from New York! I’ve been having the best time with her, and I’m so grateful for thoughtful friends who sense when I’m feeling a little homesick and could use a visit. We have a really cute feature with Noodle and Harriett coming up in the next few days, so stay tuned. :)
