Yesterday, the Larkin Crew headed out to the Oregon Coast, and landed in Cannon Beach, the cutest town with some of the most spectacular views I’ve ever seen. I mentioned this on Instagram Stories, but it was kind of like Nantucket meets the Outer Banks meets the Pacific Northwest. And we had a great day. We wandered the town, had lunch at Mo’s Seafood and Chowder overlooking the water, and then spent the rest of our time practicing walking on the sand. (And admiring Haystack Rock. It’s that giant “sea stack” you see in a lot of these photos. Amazing!)
I’m completely in awe of Oregon and its coastline. I’ll be honest: before this trip, the few things that came to mind when I thought about the state were Portlandia, Jess, Louis and Clark, and Oregon Trail (computer game, haha). Now, though, I realize just how much natural beauty there is here. I mean, the Florence Sand Dunes?! Thor’s Well?! The Columbia River Gorge?!
Who knew?!
