Aaaaand we’re back with an outfit post!

I’m here to talk about the best snow boots for anyone who struggles to get out the door in the morning when it’s blizzarding. Of course, I adore my easy-to-slip-on Uggs, and if you follow me on social media, you’ve probably picked up on that, haha. But while they’re very water-resistant, they’re not waterproof, and Chicago has been getting DUMPED on lately. So much snow! It’s magical, for sure, but this is my first winter as a mom of two, and the gear struggle is real. So many hats and gloves and jackets and boots and woof.

A few weeks ago, I decided that I needed to up my winter “mom boot” game. And after a whole lot of looking, I came upon these puffy [totally waterproof] slip-on Sorel boots that were very well-reviewed.

I was hesitant, of course. I needed something that I could get on my feet in a few seconds, and I also needed to be able to step in a somewhat deep puddle and not experience any infiltration. But I ordered them–in a half size up, to account for thick socks, as I always do with boots–and they were extremely easy to get my feet into… and exceptionally warm.

I wore them out about a week ago when the snow began, and haven’t worn anything outside of the house since. They’re phenomenal. They’re cozy and cushioned, and they keep my feet 100-percent dry. They’re sneaker-like and cute, too!

I also like that since they’re a muted silvery gray that they go with both navy and black. And sure, I may have withstood some moon shoe jokes from my husband. But I think we all know whose feet are dry and whose are wet. (Mitch, btw, only wears his duck boots when he can find them and often goes for his Sperrys in negative-degree weather. It’s a sight. 😜)

So yeah. Two thumbs up from me! If you’re looking for a pair of winter boots that’ll make drop-offs and pick-ups (or any other hectic daily activity) easier, this is it.

Everything you see in this outfit, btw, is available via Nordstrom. As you know, I looooove Nordstrom, and that’s where I go to for nearly all my brand-name purchases because of the free shipping + returns, extraordinary customer service, and unparalleled inventory. Nine times out of 10, Nordstrom has it, and I love that!

Anyway, please enjoy the below photos of Noodle–and me, I suppose 😂–in the snow.
