Friends!

This week was insanity. We’ve been trying to get a back-to-school routine down, work has been picking up, Lucy’s been sick (just a cold!), and we’re starting on our living/dining room renovation. Phew. So excited that it’s the weekend. The only things on the agenda are going to buy an SUV (WHAT?!) and attending our next door neighbor’s birthday party. :) So excited to slow it down and take a breather.

Before I get to this week’s Recent Finds, I’d love to take a moment to tell you about glassybaby, a very special Seattle-based company that makes hand-blown glass votives. They have a pop-up shop at Box Shops in the Chicago’s West Loop this month! glassybaby was founded by a three-time cancer survivor who, during chemotherapy, met a lot of patients who couldn’t afford basic needs during treatment. Committed to helping alleviate these struggles, glassybaby donates a portion of each sale to charitable organizations that promote hope and healing. Every candleholder is a unique work of art, crafted by eight hands… and each one gives back. The company recently hit $10 million in donations to non-profits all over the country! Be sure to stop by 724 West Randolph (Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.) to pick up yours!

Okay. :) Here’s what I have my eye on right now:

I had the white version of this dress back in the day and actually wore it to our wedding brunch! Excited to see it come back. :)

This is definitely a vacation piece, but I’ve been swooning over it for a few months now. Isn’t it beautiful?!

YES. Banana, you’re amazing! These are absolutely perfect for the fall.

I have the zebra version of this dress (see below!) but I’m even  more in love with the leopard.

This it the shorter length!

So classic!

This coat!

I love that the classic navy bamboo-handle bag now has a strap!

This is a definite for the fall. Paired with jeans and a white top, you can’t go wrong.

I’ve been trying out a LOT of high-waisted jeans over the last few weeks. So far, these are my fave.

HUGE fan. Actually, it’s probably my favorite blazer ever, haha. It’s also available here and here.

How gorgeous is this longer-length one?!

Add a little punch to your fall looks.

Can’t tell you how much I love the Stevie pants. And the leopard?! Yes, yes, yes.

Old Navy is also carrying an awesome plaid.

What a deal!

Loafers with a slight heel. In LOVE.

I think I’m going to order these. Apparently they’re VERY soft and stretchy. We’ll see!

And here they are in a darker wash.

What do we think about this? I worry about the ribbing being too form-fitting but I’m tempted to try it!

A pink velvet blazer! Perfect for fall. :)

I’m on a blazer kick. It happens every September.

Stunning! Mixed reviews but definitely want to at least try it on.

Favorite leather gloves on sale. They’re SO soft.

Tucked into jeans? Adorable and so easy.

Always after good tops to wear under blazers.

Love a solid white coat. This one is incredibly warm, and I highly recommend.

Softspun for the win.

This is gorgeous! I’m looking for more basic dresses, and leopard is a neutral, so…

Gorgeous suede boots.

The herringbone pattern!

Apparently this cardigan is the softest you’ll ever find. :)

A velvet mock neck top — perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Finding tops that both look stylish and provide warmth is so hard! This one’s a winner, though.

Apparently, this dress is unbelievably soft.

Great for tucking into work pants and jeans alike. :)

Isn’t the ruffle detail on this dress adorable?

William Rast: designer jeans for a third of the price.

Fleece-lined denim leggings! You’re welcome, Chicago gals.

So excited to see all the popcorn sweaters rolling out!

A great camel coat for under $200.
