If you missed yesterday’s post on updates we’ve recently made to the deck, I wanted to take today to share some really sweet photos taken on a wonderfully hot evening and during a breakfast on a sunny morning! I also wanted to highlight our new pillows. Because our pillow game is strong, guys. 😉
Note: Lucy was passed out during 95 percent of both experiences, which is why you don’t see much of her here. ;) Did anyone else completely forget how much newborns sleep when they had their second?!
I love how our seating area is turning out. Right now, though, we’re waiting on striped cushion covers for the couches because they’re extremely backordered. And while the white is lovely, I was excited to punch things up and bring a little color to the couches with the help of The Company Store. :) They have the most beautiful throw pillows, so many of which were so up my alley that I had a difficult time choosing! In the end, I decided not to go matchy-matchy and instead to do a bunch of different blue ones. (Surprise, surprise. 😂)

The effect is awesome; it appears less like an outdoor space and more like a living room, which I’m all about. And I know this might seem silly, but since the pillows arrived, I swear we spend 2x the amount of time out there! It just feels so much more inviting and comfortable. And quality is amazing. It’s often difficult to determine how nice a product will be from a retailer’s website, but pillows you see here from The Company Store are all beautifully embroidered, which elevates the look of the seating area so much. Emma loves the pillows, too! She’s constantly putting her little dolls “down for their naps,” as she says, and will snuggle in with me to read books. It’s pretty adorable, and we’ve already made a lot of great memories on those couches.
I obviously went with an all-blue theme for our space, but I’ve included some colorful alternatives from The Company Store above, too. I should note that they aren’t outdoor pillows, but we cover or bring in our cushions and pillows every day to maximize their lifespans so this didn’t really matter for us. :)
