Guys! It finally happened.

Spring arrived in Chicago. Like, yesterday.

Gone are the 20-degree mornings and nights, and well, here are the 40-degree mornings and nights. 🙈 But the puffer coats have been packed away, and that’s saying something. Our temps and spirits are higher, and the Larkin Family is excited for all that is to come in this amazing city. It’s been a while.

A question I get fairly often is what we do to stay healthy–not just during the winter but throughout the entire year. It’s tough! Between the tricky weather and Emma’s frequent trips to daycare, we’re constantly battling “bugs,” which I think a lot of families can relate to.

Our #1 defense against it all? Florida Orange Juice.

I come from a family of doctors and nurses. Of course, I faint at the mere sight of blood. 😂 But for as long as I can remember, the people I trust most have been telling me to drink 100 percent orange juice whenever I start feeling run down or under the weather. (My mom is probably Florida OJ’s top supporter!) And I swear: it works.

In short, the stuff is pure magic. It has the ability to stop a “bug” in its tracks, but it also makes me–and my entire family!–feel amazing inside on a regular basis. No matter what, Mitch and I have it with breakfast every morning… and we have it with lunch and dinner as well when we need that extra boost. Emma’s even started drinking it! Which has been great for that runny nose she’s always bringing home from daycare. ;)

I love that Florida Orange Juice supports busy moms (me!), families (us!) and lifestyles… and that it provides a nutritional foundation that helps families at every stage of life. Every glass contains the #Amazing5: taste, Vitamin C, folate, potassium, and no added sugar… and an 8 oz. glass of 100 percent orange juice counts as one of your daily recommended servings of fruit.

Yesterday, Mitch and I took Emma–along with a gallon of Florida Orange Juice–downtown, and shot these photos in honor of National Orange Juice Day, which will occur this Friday, May 4th.

SO. MUCH. FUN.

First of all, it was in the 70s. Secondly, Emma was on cloud nine. Girlfriend had the time of her life running around the Chicago Riverwalk with her little sippy cup full of FLOJ; she made a ton of friends, and she was super “lovey.” Still can’t get over how many kisses on the cheek I received! (And yes. I will treasure these photos forever.) I also really needed my fair share of vitamin C on account of all the fun we’ve recently had. (Lots of family in; a few late-night work sessions; an awesome “date night” with Emily and Doug!) The Florida Orange Juice totally did the trick, though. Because here I am, typing this, and I feel great. Gone is the tickle in my throat, and back is my “oomph.”

PS: The Larkin Fam is taking over the Florida Orange Juice Instagram account today, and we’d love it if you followed along!
