Eeeeee!

As you know, the Larkin Crew is J.Crew-obsessed. 😉 And we’re thrilled to be partnering with the company today to showcase some of its Summer Classics. The idea is that the classics can be worn wherever you are–and they support the lifestyle shift that most of us have experienced this year.

But J.Crew has always been like that, in my opinion! And that’s definitely why the majority of my most-loved and most-worn wardrobe pieces bear the tag. They’re timeless, they can dressed up or down, and they adapt to whatever life throws my way. I can wear my favorite sweater and boyfriend jeans with sneakers or sandals while playing with the kids, for example, but then slip on a cute pair of classic heels… and that same sweater and jeans transform into the perfect date night look. It’s magic, really. ;)

For us, J.Crew makes for a simpler life, pandemic or not!

My parents gave Emma a bike for her birthday, and we took it for a spin last week. (Note: the seat is too low, but Emma asked for it to be lowered because it made her less scared. Once she gains more confidence, though, we’ll raise it back up!) These photos were taken during her first real bike ride through the neighborhood. It was pretty awesome; we found a one-way street that was partially closed off and Emma had a wide-open space to practice. She rocked it!

I wore these wildly comfortable high-rise white slim boyfriend jeans, which look great worn casually or dressed up. (They run a little on the larger side, so I might suggest sizing down. I’m wearing my normal size here but probably could have gone down one!) In case you’re in the market, I also have and love these high-rise button-fly white straight leg jeans… and they’re fantastic. They’re a bit more tailored and have some stretch to them, too. (TTS, I’d say.)

And I fell in love with this striped cardigan sweater the moment I saw it. It’s something I just know will be in my closet for years to come. Again, such a classic… and would look great with nice pants too! (TTS.)

As for my sandals, GET THEM! They’re wonderfully comfortable and don’t require much breaking-in. I love the pop of red, but they also come in super versatile colors like brown, black and white. The best part, though, is that they’re easy to slip on even when you have a baby in your arms. High five to that! I went up a half size like I always do in sandals, but they run true to size.

Lastly, I’ve owned the Market Tote for years. It’s the prettiest functional summer tote, and while I no longer bring it to the Lincoln Park Farmers’ Market, I do bring it on so many of our outdoor walks and outings. It stretches, so it really fits everything that the girls and I need. Bonus: It looks great hung up in mudrooms or foyers, too!

Not surprisingly, the rest of the family is in J.Crew, too.

The girls are in their heart t-shirts, which we must have dozens of, ranging from sizes 2 to 5 😆, and they’re both wearing J.Crew shorts, too. (Lucy’s are hand-me-downs, but Emma’s are the pull-on Ruffle Shorts, which are available in lots of colors and patterns right now.) But yeah: I rely heavily on Crewcuts for kids’ clothing because they hold up and can be passed down–which ends up saving me a lot of time and money. Nearly every hand-me-down looks brand new, and a ton of them are still carried, even four years later. (See? Timeless!)

Mitch is in his tried-and-true, which is a gingham button-down and khaki shorts. And while yes, he wears the combo at least three times per week, I love it. :) Whatever works, right?! (And whatever dissuades him from this, haha.)

With that, I’ll leave you with some cute family photos. But don’t forget to check out J.Crew’s New Arrivals! :)

Go Emma!
