Classic Denim Skirt J.Crew

Denim Skirt (Also available in white! Madewell makes a shorter denim skirt in white and in a denim wash as well.) / Rothy’s Washable Sneakers / Similar Tote (Under $50 and SO soft.) / Classic White T-Shirt (Also love the tee in 365 material, which travels extraordinarily well and can be dressed up.) / Newer Utility Jacket (L.L.Bean has a good one, too.) / Liberty Headband (Only ones I own that don’t hurt!)

Back with another tried-and-true simple outfit today. :) Wore this to dinner on the Southport Corridor with Mitch and the girls last week.

Denim Skirt: Okay, guys. This is such a winner in the wardrobe staple department. I can’t remember the last time I wore a denim skirt, but I’m so into this one in particular. It’s the perfect length—I don’t flash the world when I bend over yet it’s also not matronly looking—and it has just the right amount of stretch. It’s also high-waisted, which means ultra-flattering. Oh! And because it’s a great basic, it allows me to wear so many tops that otherwise would go unworn during the summer. True to size; I ordered my usual jean size at J.Crew. (Btw: It’s also available in white! Madewell makes a shorter denim skirt in white and in a denim wash as well, in case you’re looking for that.)

Classic White T-Shirt: I have this t-shirt in white, navy and stripes. It’s a classic; a crisp cotton top that can be worn year-round. It features a slim cut, so I size up so it’s a little comfier. Also love the tee in 365 material, which travels extraordinarily well and can be dressed up.

Similar Tote: Can’t go wrong with a simple leather tote! Goes with nearly everything and holds all the essentials the girls need when I’m running around town with them. This one is probably my favorite. It’s under $50 and so soft.

Newer Utility Jacket: I’ve really been leaning into my utility jacket lately. So many pockets! And a nice little pop of green, as I obviously gravitate to blues. L.L.Bean has a good one, too.

Liberty Headband: These are the only headbands I own that don’t hurt. Such a fan. The only thing I’ll say is that I haven’t figured out how to wear headbands and sunglasses at the same time without looking like a lunatic. Maybe I have weird ear placement. Not sure. 😆

Rothy’s Washable Sneakers: As I mentioned yesterday, I recently upgraded to these magical sneakers and I’m never going back to non-washables! (Though I do really love this pair from J.Crew Factory, which is much more affordable.) The Rothy’s sneaks run TTS, and they require zero break-in time. Insanely comfy the moment you slip them on. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
