The Sheehans have recovered! For the most part, at least. Last night, we even ate Manco & Manco Pizza! (An Ocean City tradition.) Of course, we’ve recovered just in time for a rainy Friday and Saturday… but, hey. We had a FABULOUS week with more sunshine and warmth than I ever could have wished for… especially for April.
Today’s plans include breakfast at home, a fun mother/daughter photo shoot with Vera Bradley (stay tuned!), and perhaps a trip to the Atlantic City outlets to buy Mitch some new work clothes. (He somehow always wears holes in his stuff during the last three months of the school year. And, since he only goes shopping once per year, everything wears out and needs replacing at the same time. Haha — Guys. And no. I can’t shop for him, because he’s SO picky. Everything is uncomfortable, ugly or not the right shade of blue. It’s a little frustrating, but also really cute. The man has standards!)
Moving on to yesterday’s outfit.
It was a misty and windy day, and so I borrowed my mom’s old Burberry raincoat. Crazy story about this coat: Mom and I bought two during an INSANE sale ($150 each!) when I was in college, but I ended up selling mine on eBay because, you know, the profit was awesome and I undoubtedly needed money to buy more “wine in a box” and Twisted Tea (my drinks of choice in college). For shame, Kelly. For shame.
Many years later and after MUCH contemplation, though, I splurged on a different Burberry… and love it! I’ve also upgraded my taste in wine, and realized just how disgusting Twisted Tea actually is.
OH! Check out this awesome deal on my favorite quilted Burberry jacket in light tan. Nordstrom has it as well, but quantities are limited! Just be smart and don’t sell it for alcohol. ;)
And how cute is this Anne Klein bow bag from Stage Stores? You might remember that Stage Stores and I teamed up earlier in the month to feature a really fun red quilted bag, and talk about appreciating all of life’s stages. Today, we’re going for a sleeker, more polished look! Stage Stores, headquartered in Houston, is currently having its “Super Doorbuster Saturday” event, during which you can take advantage of some massive savings. Take 30 percent off your entire order (in stores or online) when you use code “SUPER30.” Shipping is free for orders over $49!
