Do you remember your first Vera Bradley? Mine was a beautiful blue duffle bag in “Maison Blue” (current style) that I found under the Christmas tree during my senior year of high school. It was a huge surprise–thanks, Mom!–and I adored it. Still do! It’s been by my side through so many exciting times: moving into the college dorms, moving into all my New York City apartments (count them: eight), moving out to Chicago… and for so many fun trips. It’s a great bag. :)
So much has changed for Vera Bradley since 2002. Today, the brand has a new line of gorgeous leather handbags, reminiscent of Chanel but without the crazy price tag. My favorite is the Quilted Emma Tote, which I’m sporting in these photos. It’s incredibly well made and super soft, and it’s big enough to get me through a busy day running around the city. But I also love the Quilted Amy Backpack (in black). So classy, right?! (Oh–and check out Vera Bradley’s new line of jewelry and accessories. Too cute!)
Anyway… to celebrate Vera’s launch of its new quilted leather line, Jess and I–in parternship with InStyle Magazine–are hosting a fun shopping event at the company’s Water Tower Place location in Chicago on Wednesday, December 3rd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and we’d love to see you there! There will be sips and sweets, and a chance to win a Vera Bradley gift card. Mark your calendars! (And RSVP here!)
And my apologies for featuring this top (and belt) yesterday as well. I guess even bloggers repeat outfits when life gets crazy! ;)
