Unbeknownst to me, Mitch signed me up for the “iPhone Upgrade Program,” which gets you a new phone every year. (Very good for people who put their phones on top of their cars and then drive away. 😳📱😂) But seriously: How cool is the ultra wide-angle capability on iPhone 11 Pro’s camera system?!
The iPhone 11 Pro has a 12MP Wide sensor, which focuses three times faster in low light; a 12MP Ultra Wide sensor, which captures four times more scene (and allows for easier straightening and cropping after the fact as you can recover more of the scene); and a new Telephoto camera, which provides a combined four times optical zoom range.
Clearly, my favorite is that Ultra Wide sensor. ;) Mitch and I played around with it a little over the weekend, and we’re so impressed! No more struggling to get everything in the frame… and no need to carry around my hulking 24mm professional lens. (So.Heavy.)
