I am so excited to spend Thanksgiving with our family this year! When it comes to picking out what to wear, I always go for basic pieces in neutral colors and accessorize with festive earrings, scarves, or bags for a pop of color. Since I know every family’s Thanksgiving can look a little different, I put together three outfits so you can find some inspiration no matter what the dress code is at your family’s Thanksgiving dinner.
Sweater Dress / Riding Boots / Bag / Scarf / Earrings
This happens to be one of my favorite fall outfits, and it’s perfect to wear to Thanksgiving dinner. I’m a big fan of sweater dresses, especially when they have a turtleneck, and I love styling them with a pair of tall boots (these are my favorite pair of all time). Because the base of this outfit is all neutrals, I’d accessorize with pops of color like this cranberry crossbody, a plaid scarf, and fun holiday earrings to add a festive touch.
Sweater / Skirt / Coat / Boots / Bag / Earrings
For something a little more dressy, I’d wear this black suede skirt and tuck in a camel sweater. I’m obsessed with this plaid coat which is perfect to layer for a little more warmth. Style this outfit with tall black boots, simple stud earrings, and a black crossbody.
Sweater / Jeans / Coat / Bag / Boots / Earrings
If your Thanksgiving Dinner is a little more on the casual side, a sweater with jeans is always a classic option. This puff-sleeved cashmere sweater has been a bestseller recently, and it is so soft. I also love these demi-boot jeans that are ideal for a Thanksgiving dinner. They’re incredibly comfortable and have a slight flare that makes them look so flattering. I’d wear brown suede booties, a leather crossbody, and black statement earrings to keep this outfit cute and casual. Throw over a wool parka if it’s chilly where you live, and you’re good to go.
