In case you didn’t see this video, Emma and I have been working on a little passion project: We’re reenacting the Barbie movie using her toys! 😂 We had the idea in Florida, when we brought the dolls to the beach one day. It started with the Ken “Beach” scene and then we just kept going. We’ve been having a great time with it—so many giggles!—and I’ll be sure to share it with you once it’s done.

For this past trip to Rosemary, I decided to bring about half their Barbies to my parents’ home and keep them there permanently. Mitch and I kept joking that this was our best trip yet because of the dolls… but it’s true. They provided endless hours of happiness and imaginative play, no matter where we were. Be brought them to the beach, on bike rides, to restaurants, on Noodle walks—pretty much everywhere we went, they went. And I swear it made the girls’ bond even stronger! So I’d like to really thank Mattel and Walmart (where all our toys from the movie have come from) for this incredible gift.

Toys from the Barbie movie are hard to find, but Walmart (by far) has the best selection. While we were in Florida, we found not only the iconic Barbie and Ken for under $25, but also the Corvette for $54 at our nearest Walmart. We always let the girls get one treat on vacations, so they opted for the dolls! And I’ve always loved toys so I said the Corvette was for myself. (Which it kind of was. 😆)

Barbies are definitely the girls’ most played-with toys, and pretty much everything they own is available at Walmart. I love that nearly everything ships and arrives in three days (or less!) with Walmart+, and hot toys are usually in stock, unlike at other retailers. The Walmart Barbie selection is excellent—and a great place to direct family when they ask for holiday gift idea for the kids!

(Another reason I love Barbie so much for gifts is that most things are miniature, and can easily be tidied and put into a storage container back on the shelf or closet when the girls are done playing. Even their dream house folds right up for easy storing! Out of sight, out of mind. 😉)

Anyway, I’m linking the girls’ favorites above, and stay tuned for Emma’s big reveal of her reenactment. I personally can’t wait!
