Quick post today, as we’re running out to get coffee with Kara, the amazing wife of one of my best friends from high school… and now one of our best friends, too. :) After school yesterday, Mitch and I headed down to SoHo (sensing a pattern in my life?) to walk around before meeting up with Erica (and later, Kara). That’s where we took these pictures. (Right around the corner from Louie, the Apple Store, and… J.Crew and C.Wonder! How perfect?) Take note of my heels (which I wear pretty much every other day), because tomorrow’s post will show their transformation. I made a cute little alteration! Oh, and please excuse the enormity of my bag. Going out in the city on Fridays after work can be tough! There’s no way I could get through a workday without a tote, but then I have to haul the thing around with me at night. Haven’t exactly figured out how to fix this problem. And it’s been nearly seven years! ;)
We then went to Houston Hall, a great new beer hall on the west side of Manhattan. I’ve been dying to go there for a while, but things have just been so busy! Ah, wedding planning! ;) Loved the vibe and feeling in there. Looks like it used to be an old garage or factory. I’m obsessed with turning weird, old, unused spaces into hip, beautiful hotspots. Not that I’ve ever done this, of course. A big dream of mine is somehow buying an old factory and turning it into an office and home. (Never going to happen, but a girl can dream!) I also loved that two of Houston Hall’s signature drinks are named after my brother, Patrick, and me! (Well, okay. They’re obviously not named after us, but whatever. Still made me happy. ;))
Later on, we headed to Barrow Street Ale House, one of our favorite, down-to-earth spots for drinks and dinner. A fun night all around, and I got to see my Erica. :)
