Today, I’m excited to introduce you to Sarah Flint: a women-owned shoe company that I’ve loved for a while now, and one that’s trying to help those affected in some of the hardest-hit areas of the pandemic.

Designed by Sarah herself, her gorgeous shoes are made in Italy, and her team puts tremendous care into sourcing and partnering with the most knowledgeable artisans in the industry. As we all know, Italy is currently groaning under the coronavirus, as writer Jason Horowitz recently put it.. and its citizens are living in a nightmare. Today, to help with relief efforts, 25 percent off all Sarah Flint proceeds are going to Clinico Beato Matteo and Ospedale Civile di Vigevano—two hospitals in Italy located on the front lines, where many of the company’s timeless shoes are produced.

So if you’ve had your eye on a pair of SF shoes, now is a great time to purchase. ♥️ You can also use code “SF-KELLY50” to take $50 off your order.

More about Sarah Flint

You may have seen Sarah Flint’s shoes floating around on social media because they’re very much taking the classic style lovers’ world by storm. And for good reason. The luxury shoes are absolutely gorgeous, and they’re designed to quickly mold to feet for maximum comfort.

What’s even cooler, though, is that the sticker price on shoes of similar quality and craftsmanship would normally be upwards of $700+, but Sarah Flint totally cuts out the middleman–meaning that customers get to skip the traditional retail markup seen on luxury shoes. I love companies that do this!

And, of course, the idea here is that these shoes will last you much, much longer than others. Yes, they are an investment. But many of us are working toward developing a simpler lifestyle via things like the KonMari Method and capsule wardrobes that embrace the quality > quantity mentality. And Sarah Flint falls perfectly into that depending on one’s stage of life. I know that it personally gives me way more joy to own a few things that I absolutely love than have an overflowing closet packed with stuff I don’t actually need!

My favorite styles

Sarah Flint carries a ton of different styles, and I’ve been lucky enough to try out a bunch. (Thank you, Sarah!) Here are my faves:

The Natalie

The Natalie is undoubtedly my most-worn right now considering the current state of affairs, but it’s just an all-around awesome everyday shoe. It’s extremely well-made and sturdy, yet it molded to my feet within the first couple of hours. The shoe features a signature shape, which shoes just the right about of “toe cleavage”; it has 3mm of extra padding in the footbed for added comfort; and it has a leather outsole with a rubber forepart to prevent slipping. And I can’t forget the sweet bow off to the side! I went with the classic saddle leather, but it also comes in black, white, red, sand, pink suede and leopard calf hair. (Sizing: I found it totally TTS!)

The Rosie

I’m happiest in loafers, as you may have noticed 😉, but they’re not exactly dressy. Which is why I adore the Rosie, Sarah Flint’s loafer that features a low, chunky heel and slightly pointed toe–so you get the added height without sacrificing comfort. It also just feels very me. Like, this is a “Kelly Shoe.” 😂 But yeah. Right now, I’m loving how the Rosie dresses up even otherwise casual and simple outfits. I wore my Rosie loafers with boyfriend jeans the other day, for example, and it took the look from a little sloppy-looking to chic. :) I own the leopard, but it also comes in red, black, taupe and olive. Red and black are both on my list, haha. 🙈 (Sizing: I went down a half size based on Sarah Flint’s recommendation, and it worked out perfectly.)

The Perfect Emma

A good tortoise shoe is hard to find, but the Perfect Emma? Just as the name suggests (and not just because I named my daughter “Emma” 😉), it’s perfect. With the exception of the leopard pair, the pump has a beautiful two-inch tortoise heel that makes all-day wear comfortably possible, and its expanded toe box means no pinching. It also has an anatomical arch support as well as 6m of extra footbed padding. Shoes that include all those qualities typically come out looking like old lady shoes… but the Perfect Emma rises above. :) I own the black, but the Perfect Emma also comes in taupe, merlot, leopard, navy, cognac and slate. (Sizing: Totally true to size!)

The Larkin Family is self quarantining for the foreseeable future, but we’re slowly getting accustomed to things and trying to get creative in a lot of different areas of our lives. And while I have good days and bad days, just like everyone, I’m excited to get back into the swing of work, if only for the hour or two of escape from the world that it provides during nap time and after we put the girls down at night. I think that when left to my own devices during those times, I often go down a dark path, so thank you for being such a lovely distraction. I’m very lucky to have this community.

Anyway, I’m getting creative, and I’m going to shoot some cute Sarah Flint outfits around the house next. I always, always feel better when I get myself dressed–have you guys been doing Jimmy Kimmel’s wife’s “Formal Friday” thing?!–and therefore this can only help. ;) So stay tuned for that!

How are you holding up? Mitch and I will be having a little chat on Instagram Stories tonight, so tune in if you could use some lighthearted banter! Stay safe and when at all possible, stay home so we can minimize risk to our country’s medical professionals and prevent the collapse of the healthcare system. We can do this!
