Aaaaand we made it! We’re here in Chicago for the long weekend, but the weather is supposed to be lovely and I’m excited about getting some sunshine while staying safe. ☺️
Some randomness:
- The MZ Wallace sale is still on, and they seem to have restocked some popular styles! You can find the sale products via Nordstrom, the MZ Wallace website, Bloomingdales, and Saks! (Saks has a lot of gems. Be sure to browse!)
- Lululemon came out with the prettiest chambray Align leggings. I SWEAR by the Align pants. They’re the best leggings I’ve ever owned, and once you go Align, you just don’t go back. Worth every penny. If you’re new to Lululemon, the brand’s sizing is kind of weird in general. I typically go two sizes up from what I normally wear at J.Crew, for example. That said, the Align pants stretch like CRAZY so you really can’t mess it up. I wore mine throughout the entirety of my pregnancy, and never had to size up?! They’re magic and you will love them. Promise.
- I launched a “Home Finds” series! This is the first post. It was readers’ idea, so thank you. I’m loving it because I can manage to put it together while caring for the girls. (Sometimes, of course. Like when they’re happily playing and I can sit off to the side with my coffee and laptop. It lasts no more than five or 10 minutes before someone needs me, haha, but it’s something I can do even with constant interruptions!) I’ve also really enjoyed working on the house and improving its functionality these last few months of quarantining, and I know that many of you are feeling the same!
- I published a huge before + after post about our basement playroom renovation! I pushed it live at 2 a.m. while utterly exhausted, so please excuse… everything. ;) But the whole family is thrilled with how it turned out and we’re especially grateful for the space right now. Most-used room in the house, for sure!

- I’m chuggin’ along. I’m on this seemingly never-ending emotional rollercoaster over here (you too?), but my outlook is very much affected by the things that I can control, and that’s something to be grateful for. Lately I’ve made a lot of progress with work (most caught up I’ve ever been!) and improving the organization/functionality of the house, and I feel my nervous energy slowly mellowing out. Sure, I get very little accomplished every day since I’m quarantined with two small children, but I’m starting to see the effects of my efforts! Am I killin’ it? No way. But I’m trying my best and I’m proud that I’m smiling while keeping my head above water.
