We’re flying to New York tomorrow for my grandmother’s 85th birthday celebration, and I couldn’t be more excited to unplug and get some quality time in with the extended family!
We’re only going to be in the city for a hot minute, but it’s going to be amazing; I just know it. The entire fam got together for Grandma’s 80th birthday out on Long Island five years ago, and it was everything! People flew in from all over the place, and it was just so nice to all be in one place at once. We also may have unveiled this. 😂
Anyway, I wanted to share some photos we snapped recently over a slower weekend. Joules, a British company that draws inspiration from England’s countryside, sent us a bunch of rain gear from the company’s “Right as Rain” collection, and we’re all over the moon with the stuff. I’ve linked everything above, but I can’t get over how much adorable every single piece is. The rain boots are extraordinarily comfortable (way comfier than Hunters!), the rain coats are wonderfully well-made and substantial, and the Breton tops are both gorgeous and timeless. I’m so in love!
If you’re interested in any of the pieces, definitely use code “KITC20” to take 20 percent off full-priced items and get free shipping! Boots run TTS; I actually wouldn’t size up, even if you plan on wearing thick socks with them. (They accomodate for that!) The rain jacket, similarly, runs very TTS. (Order your normal size. It’s a bit swingy, in the best possible way!) And the Breton top is figure-flattering. (I went up a size because I don’t love fitted tops. But the larger size provides me with room to move around with the girls while also maintaining a polished look.)
The obvious star of the show here is Emma. I know I’m her mom so this isn’t anything surprising, but I just adore photographing her. (Same with Lucy, but she was passed out in the stroller when we snapped these, haha!) I love pausing for a moment to take in how she sees the world… and I love pausing to appreciate these younger years, too. They’re fleeting.
I think my favorite photo of the bunch is the one where Emma’s kicking water at the camera. But I’ll also leave you with the zillion others I snapped so you can choose. ;) I actually look forward to rainy days, now!
xx

Joules has always been a favorite brand of mine, and it’s nice to see it popping up more and more Stateside. I have your Breton top in dress from from their summer line, and I love it! It’s definitely a thrown on and go kind of style—so comfortable!
Kelly, the links aren’t working (the ones at the end of the post)- can you check? thanks
Joules is fabulous! Usually I don’t wear things with a visible logo but I make an exception with Joules. Also the rabbit logo detailing is a fun little touch. The Harbour shirts are the best Bretons, and I appreciate the thicker material and the slightly longer length of them. In addition to the Breton tops I have many Joules pieces– socks, scarves, dresses, pj bottoms, a raincoat, and my quilted jacket. They are the best.
This is perfect timing because I was looking for a new rain coat/fall coat, and these are SO cute!! I love the yellow, and of course the navy it comes in! Happy travels to NY!
