Erica, Mitch and I met up after work today at the District Bar & Restaurant, a relatively new establishment on the Upper East Side. (It opened in December.) It’s fabulous that new places are finally opening on the UES, as the construction of the Second Avenue subway line has halted quite a bit of business there. Many restaurants, bars and shops actually closed down because of it. The District Bar & Restaurant is quite the find, too. Great food, great atmosphere, and great location. It’s only a short walk from the 86th Street express Lex stop or 96th Street local stop. To see some shots of the restaurant’s interior, scroll down to the bottom of this post. :)

This was one of my favorite dinners with Erica of all time. Don’t get me wrong: our weekly dinners are always amazing. It’s just that this dinner was particularly wonderful, as Erica had some incredible news to share with us. Positive thinking (and a whole lot of love) can go a long way. Huzzah! <3
Tomorrow I’m meeting with a stationary designer in Hoboken to finalize our wedding invitations. Cannot wait! Will be sure to share them once they’re completed. Another wedding project soon to be crossed off the to-do list!

I’m not gonna lie, I’m usually not a fan of paisley. But you look so cute and are totally rockin it! And with those shoes-the colors are fab! :)

Aww thank you Shira! I totally agree! I always thought it was too busy, but I took a chance as they were only $29… I’ve been kind of crazy about wild pants lately!! Haha

I’m psyched that they’re actually finally working on the 2nd ave subway… I guess it’s (sigh) been quite a while since I lived in NYC, because I remember hearing about it all the time but never seeing them start.
Love this outfit! You pull off quirky colors/patterns like nobody’s business! xox
Rebecca,
Oh my goodness… YES. It will be amazing!! I moved to the Upper East Side right when it was happening, and you’d actually hear explosions happening underground throughout the day! Crazy. I’m glad that it’ll soon (well–that’s relative ;)) be over.
Thank you so much!!
xoxo
