Short post this afternoon, as I’m spending as much time outside as possible! But I have some really great stuff to share. :)
1. My friend Jason’s Donors Choose Project, which ends soon! Jason and I taught English in the South Bronx together for several years, and I simply can’t say enough about him. He’s one of the most caring, passionate and talented teachers I’ve ever met, and I love his current fundraising project: He’s trying to raise money for grade-appropriate nonfiction magazines such as “The New York Times Upfront” to prepare his students for the Common Core, and Chromebooks to use for conducting research and publishing essays. Please help. (We only have a week left to raise the money!)
