While it might not look like it in these photos, it’s springtime in Chicago! Okay. We technically have 10 days until the first day of spring. But temperatures are projected to rise to a whopping 54 degrees today. Fifty-four degrees! No more puffers… no more puffers… No more puffers… :)
So in honor of the warmer weather, I’m wearing some gorgeous daisy-inspired pieces from Gerard Yosca’s “Flowerball” collection. They remind me that spring and summer are just around the corner, as are new beginnings, fresh perspectives, and adventures. And when I spoke to the New York-based designer about his the new line, he seemed to have a similar view. “It just feels fresh and clean,” he said. “Perfect for right now, when we are all dreaming of spring!”
I also love how dainty the handmade, gold-plated necklace and earrings are. I used to be all about the huge statement necklace, but lately I’ve found myself drawn to smaller, simpler designs that can be worn again and again. Which is why I’m such a huge fan of Gerard Yosca. “Pieces are scaled down,” Gerard told me. “They are refined, because they are made thoughtfully. I try to think about how someone is really going to wear our jewelry when I design.”
And how am I going to wear my Gerard Yosca jewelry? With everything, and often. :) Be sure to check out the whole Flowerball collection here!
