Do we like how I’m getting this up at 10:30 p.m. tonight? In an effort to be kinder to myself, though, I’m still totes counting it as my Sunday post. 😂
I have so many photos from the summer that haven’t made their way to the blog yet, and I’m determined to get them all up before the season officially ends. Each set tells a little story, even if they’re mostly snaps of Emma. (My favorite subject.) And while very few feature picture-perfect outfits, I kind of don’t care! I love being behind the lens, and giving you a glimpse into what my real life is like.
Anyway, these photos were taken during two different beach days on Nantucket: one at “Madaket 4” and one at “Fat Ladies Beach.” (Questions? You can read about that here, haha.)
I think the best part of both days was seeing my family come together to make Emma’s Nantucket experience magical. It’s been a long time since we had a kid around. The youngest, Paige, is now in her 20s! Yet no one seemed to have forgotten. Castles were built; pools were created; games were played. There was sand everywhere–especially in our sandwiches, fittingly so 😉–but no one cared.
As I think I mentioned before, I want to try my hardest to make Nantucket a yearly thing again. Yes, it’s a little tough to get there. But there’s just nothing like uninterrupted family time, and seeing one of your special places become one of your child’s special places. 💙
