Woo! The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale has officially begun! I have to say: I’m impressed. The website has been functioning extraordinarily well (I experienced only a couple of hiccups), and the selection is fabulous. **This just in: Shop the Flash Sale here! Expect two more, on Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m.**
Normally, I shop Lilly’s annual summer sale for dresses to wear to the upcoming year’s big events: holidays, graduations and weddings. (Sure–it means I have to commit to dresses months in advance, but I almost always thank myself in the end. Less scrambling and so much less expensive in the long run!) The past two years have been particularly demanding in the dress department, as I attended at least 10 weddings–mine included. ;) So many bridal showers, bachelorette parties, receptions and brunches to attend! And so many with the same people! But this year, I only have one wedding–my brother’s–so I can easily get by with the dresses I already own. (Though how cute is this one for New Year’s? Sparkly and warm! Someone buy it so I can live vicariously through you, hehe.)
Following my own advice, I’m only shopping for what I need: comfy cardigans and casual, everyday t-shirt dresses for walking around the city. I was a little bummed that I didn’t grab this dress before it sold out, but I did manage to score the same dress in the “I Herd You” print as well as this cardigan. (#success) How did you guys do?! I’d love to hear. See my favorites below.
I got in my order before 8:10 and only missed one of the items I wanted! I love the cardigan, if its still available later on today (doubtful..) I will definitely consider buying it!

That’s awesome, girl! I kind of love that Lilly is continuously removing sold-out items, that way I don’t realize what I missed, haha! Looks like they have a pretty good inventory of cardigans… Crossing my fingers for you! :) xx
Got a pair of Liza shorts in the nick of time! Love these picks, Kelly.
YAY, Colleen! So happy for you! The prices were pretty good this year, don’t you think?! :)
Great Picks! I got 2 Elsa’s, a Moxy Top, a Houston Top, a Kingsley Crew and a Murfee (all before 8:15 am)! What an AWESOME (and stress free) sale! Hope you had fun shopping too! :)
Wow–you made out like a bandit! :) That’s awesome. Hope you love everything!! xoxo
So much great stuff!!! Love your picks. I need to get a better handle on my sizing so I don’t tense up on the final sale stuff.
xoxo, Elena Michelle

Yes! Though the one nice thing is that after the sale, there’s a lot of trading that takes place. I particularly like Re-Lilly, the Facebook group. Normally, if you end up with the wrong size, you can find someone in a similar situation who wants to trade! :) Hope that helps! :) xoxo
I can already picture Rob’s reaction when he sees the Amex bill…. “more Lilllllyyyyyyy???” hehe ;)
Haha! What did you get, Ali?! :)
Our poor husbands…
I can’t find the pictures on the site anymore… but here are the 2 items! Looking forward to wearing them on vacation!
Karina Empire Waist Sundress True Navy Cotton Nylon Paisley Lace
Charter Sweater Crystal Water Palm Leaves Intarsia
Ali, I LOVE the little anchor zipper on the back of the sundress! SO CUTE!! :)
totally makes the dress, right?! :)
Obvi. #anchorsovereverything
Last year I only observed the madness, but decided to jump in with both feet this year after really nailing down sizing. I wanted to stay low budget, which wasn’t hard. Two of the $34 January skirts and the white popover for $49. I’m nervous about the patterns because they aren’t my favorites but together it was less than a full priced popover and a pretty low risk. Could always resell on eBay if I don’t fall in love and hopefully make some of those $34 back, right? Gosh, now I’m nervous!
Katie,
Yeah–I really couldn’t believe how great the prices were this year! The $34 skirts were amazing, as were some of the cardigans and t-shirt dresses.
Don’t worry if you don’t end up absolutely loving a piece… You’re right! You can definitely trade or sell your items. You might end up making someone else’s day!
Last year, I bought a dress that ended up being WAY too small for me. I traded with another girl, though, which worked out perfectly! :)
xoxo!
Oops. Why did I call you “Katie”? Haha, so sorry, KELLY. :) GREAT name, btw! Hehe.
I was so proud of my self-control this year in the sale (I wish I could say the same for the last month on the Re-Lilly group) and only nabbed the Hayden Open Cardigan. I needed to replace a cardigan in pretty much the same color and only $99 for a nearly knee-length cashmere? Great deal and unlike last year, I didn’t experience any hiccups. I’m sure Re-Lilly will be super busy in the next couple of weeks with people who weren’t quite sure of their size but ordered anyhow.
Katie, I LOVE that cardigan! All of my cardigans are in complete tatters, so it was really nice that Lilly had so many great ones on major sale. :)
Wasn’t it amazing how smoothly the sale has been running?! I was so impressed.
I’m late to the sale this year since I had to work (but it was a wallet blessing in disguise haha). They still have a lot of cute things left though, still debating on a belt and a tunic.

It seems like there is still a TON of great stuff left! Both of the items I bought, for example, are still available. ;) Go for it, Alex!
Wow loving those dresses!! :)

I’m happy to report that I didn’t fall in love with anything this year. My wallet is thankful. ;-)

I’m so jealous of your self control, Jessica! Hehe.
It’s amazing how fast some stuff sold out! I ended up buying a few things but SHHH don’t tell my fiance.. lol
