Guys, Chicago is freezing. Things are supposed to warm up over the next few days, but today was pretty much unbearable. Poor Noodle! I have her in a sweater and quilted jacket, but her attire simply isn’t cutting it. So much for our daily walks. Maybe we need to upgrade to this little number? And purchase some doggy booties? (Looking for suggestions, if there are any dog owners reading this!)
Understandably, taking blog photos has become pretty difficult, too. Thank goodness I have a super talented husband who’s willing to shoot in freezing temps at 7 a.m., and who can photograph an entire outfit in under two minutes. Let’s give the guy a round of applause, and get him into his winter coat! The Larkins need to step it up!
(Oh, and as for me without a coat? Don’t worry. Like I said, the puffer was off for under two minutes. But yes, it was excruciating, haha.)
Now excuse me as I burrow into my down comforter… ;)
Cute sweater! I can’t imagine it being that cold! I freak out when it gets into the 30’s! Stay warm!

Haha our men are the best! Seth has been the best photographer ever for braving the cold for the perfect shots!

Yep, it is freaking freezing here. Silly Chicago. Loving the blazer/sweater combo.
If you do buy Noodle some doggy booties, be sure to take a video of the first time you put her in them – hysterical.

brrrr!! stay toasty warm! also, I’m obsessed with this jeweled sweater! so amazing :)
I moved here last winter (from AZ!) and my poor dog had the hardest time transitioning. I got him doggie booties and they help – especially when there is salt on the sidewalk. The salt hurts their little paws. I got Ruffwear and like them but they can be hard to put on. Sometimes it’s not worth the struggle for a short walk. If you live nearby stop in Dog and Kitty in the City – on Halsted just north of Wrightwood. They have dog boots and are super helpful! The owner sat on the floor with my dog last winter and taught me how to put them on :) Good luck, Noodle will adjust eventually! And I 2nd the comment about taking a video of Noodle trying on boots. I have one of my pup and it is SO funny!
I don’t know how you’re not wearing more layers! Maxie landed in Chicago and almost died from the pilot’s announcement about temp!
This outfit is perfect! I love the houndstooth pants with the pink shoes. And the jewels on the sweater add such great interest to the outfit. I live in Canada, so I can’t sympathize with your cold weather haha! If it was 12 degrees here right now, I’d be thrilled :)
Ugh. It was not fun taking blog pictures this morning on my end either, too cold! I’m not ready for winter yet, ahh! That sweater is really pretty though!

I love Broadway — where did you end up grabbing coffee from? I can’t wait for Uniqlo to open in Chicago next year.
Seriously… SO COLD. Winter outfit photos in Chicago are the. worst. (plus when you factor in the wind + hair thing… it gets so damn hard to get some good shots). You’re a trooper!
