A trench coat is such a versatile piece for the spring. It’s a great lightweight layer that looks wonderful with everything from sweaters to blouses. Easily dress it up or down with your shoes and accessories. I get so much wear out of mine, so I put together a few of my favorite trench coat outfits. Here’s how to style a trench coat three ways.

This outfit could easily transition from office wear to weekend wear. I styled a wonderfully cozy black and cream striped sweater with a pair of charcoal washed demi-boot jeans. I love how this sweater has a button back, which means it doubles as a cardigan – all for a two-in-one! Wear a trench coat over the top for a lightweight layer and accessorize with a black tote bag, gold mini hoops, and light beige pointed-toe mules to bring the look together.
Casual and Cute

This easy and casual spring look is perfect to wear on weekends to brunch or for running errands. Start with a white pullover sweatshirt. It’s become such a great basic in my closet. Wear it with a pair of high-rise skinny jeans and a trench coat. For accessories, I love this new mini straw tote. It has a crossbody strap and drawstring duffle pouch on the interior.
