Quince Patch-Pocket Pants / Camisole / Gucci Loafers / Cuyana Tote / Sweater Blazer
Hello, hello!
Listen, I’m all for finding silver linings during these gloomy months, and one is my January-March color palette: black, camel, olive and blush. (And a spot of hydrangea blue, IDK.) Getting dressed is easy because I’m only selecting from favorite staples. It’s just a matter of creating new combinations every day!
Here are a few looks I’ve worn recently. (All photographed at once because I don’t like wearing shoes in the house and want to disinfect every time I take photos. 😆)
Tuckernuck Dress / Gorgeous (and affordable!) Quilted Bag / Newer Pumps
Tuckernuck Dress: All right. I love this dress. Be warned: It runs large. And I do think I may take the big bow off the front; it appears like it would be pretty easy to snip off. But I think I may wear this to an upcoming shower. It’s so classic yet effortless—and it’s warm, as it’s tweed. (Zero itchiness, too!)
Gorgeous (and affordable!) Quilted Bag: Okay, so I need to tell you that my husband did NOT buy me a Chanel bag, haha. It was gifted to me through a campaign, and for that I am forever grateful! I love it, and use it every weekend. But there are so many similar bags that do not cost an arm and a leg. My favorite is the Quince quilted bag. A friend has it, and it’s STUNNING. And whenever I wear Quince, I feel like I beat the system. Beautiful goods, reasonable prices. I’m actually considering getting the cream bag for my cousin’s wedding!
$49 Quince Cropped Cardigan (Size down!) / New Balance Sneakers (And how cute are the new sage green and blush ones?!) / Anthropologie Magic Black Jeans / GiGi New York Crossbody
$49 Quince Cropped Cardigan (Size down!): I wear this far too much. I have it in a bunch of different colors, and it’s on constant rotation. Definitely note that it runs large. I had to return my normal size and go one down! But it’s an epic basic.
New Balance Sneakers (And how cute are the new sage green and blush ones?!): These are the comfiest “fashion sneakers” ever. They definitely look very put-together when you wear them, yet you’re in sneakers. I am a true 7.5, and ordered an 8. They’re perfect!
Anthropologie Magic Black Jeans: I can’t say enough about the Colette pant collection. They’re just insanely flattering and comfortable—and very forgiving. And you know how black jeans are usually stiff? These are soft. They’re now the only pair of black jeans I own!
GiGi New York Crossbody: How sharp is this bag? It holds a considerable amount but doesn’t look huge. I’m constantly reaching for it, so much so that I find myself storing it in the mudroom instead of my closet so I can just grab and go! The leather is beautiful and soft, and the flap makes grabbing stuff so easy. Highly recommend.
Tuckernuck Suede Top (In a newer green here.) / Skinny Jeans / Woven Flats (This nearly identical pair is great, too!) / GiGi New York Crossbody
Tuckernuck Suede Top (In a newer green here): This is one of my most-worn tops, year after year. It’s so soft and drapes in the best way… and it comes out of the washing machine looking absolutely perfect. I’m wearing an XS here.
Skinny Jeans: GUYS. THEY’RE BACK. Okay, I should probably admit that these are kind of the only skinny jeans I wear. I adore them. For the last few years, I’ve been buying them pre-loved on eBay and Poshmark because that was my only option when I would wear out old pairs. But they have returned. The Prodigal Jeans. (Jk, they never wronged me. Not once.) Get them! They run true to size, and are stretchy and comfy but don’t back out.
Woven Flats (This nearly identical pair is great, too!): I got these because I love the Schutz flats that have the cult following. These aren’t quite as comfy, but they’re pretty close… and perfectly classic.
Quince Patch-Pocket Pants / Camisole / Gucci Loafers / Cuyana Tote / Sweater Blazer / Necklace
Quince Patch-Pocket Pants: These are the Anthropologie Colette pants but under $50! Seriously, exact same thing—though these are ponte, so even better?! Wildly flattering. Fitted through the waist and hips with a cute kick-flare. (Btw: These run TTS.)
Gucci Loafers: I’ve had these since 2017 (omg Baby Emma) and they’re still going strong. They’re another pair of “floppy loafers,” meaning unstructured leather and ultimate comfort. They were quite the investment but again, I wear them often and have had them since 2017!
Sweater Blazer: Quince for the win again. I was low-key devastated when J.Crew retired its iconic sweater blazer, but Quince recreated it in all its glory, and now it’s only $69. It’s wonderfully versatile and cozy!
Tuckernuck Dress / Gorgeous (and affordable!) Quilted Bag / Newer Pumps
Tuckernuck Dress: This dress! Sure, it’s similar to the blue one. But the tailored cut is everything. (Runs way more true to size.) Definite Chanel vibes!
J.Crew Sweater Pants (They come in navy, ivory and red, too!) /Camisole / Floppy Loafers / Quince Cardigan / Coach Court Bag (Love this seller!)
Floppy Loafers: Quince! You’ve done it again! M.Gemi and Margaux both make this shoe, and man. Are they wonderful. The leather is insanely soft and “floppy,” meaning that there’s no break-in time or blisters. That said, those companies’ price tags: oof. Quince’s loafer is the exact same, though, and it’s a whopping 73 percent off.
J.Crew Sweater Pants (They come in navy, ivory and red, too!): Hello, perfection. They look like dress pants, and flatten out bumps with some nice compression, but they’re cozy and comfy. I’m wearing a small here. HUGE fan. So glad they brought them back this year.
Coach Court Bag: I’m linking what I think is the best seller on eBay! (She also happens to be from Chicago. Yay.) My parents gave me my Coach Court bag for my birthday our first year in Chicago, and it meant so much to me. It remains my favorite bag to this day. (So much so that I often don’t wear it because I’m so nervous about damaging it! I really need to get over that, haha.) While it’s a retired bag, you can still find amazing vintage ones on Etsy. This seller refinishes and brings them back to life!
J.Crew Sweater Pants (They come in navy, ivory and red, too!) /Camisole / Floppy Loafers / Quince Cardigan / Coach Court Bag (Love this seller!)
Quince Cardigan: Same outfit, but a shoutout to Quince for this cardigan. (Are we sensing a theme with this post?) It’s cotton and oversized, and the kind of sweater you want to be permanently resting on the back of your desk chair. Looks great with a simple t-shirt or cami!
