Dex Sweater (c/o — Brand available at Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor) / J.Crew Coat (It’s back! Act fast, because they sell out quickly. If you’re looking for the coat in navy, try the Factory version. I also love the Classic Duffle, Melton Duffle, Puffer and Field Jacket.) / C.Wonder Tote (Also see smaller version)/ Eastland Boots (c/o) / Madewell Tee / Miriam Merenfeld Monogrammed Necklace (c/o) / J.Crew Camp Socks / Dittos Jeans (c/o — Also available here) / J.Crew Earrings / Kate Spade Sunnies (Old, newer styles here)
So here’s something: We haven’t had heat in our apartment for the last week. Brrrrr! There’s apparently something wrong with the ignition system–something to do with the pilot light and the heat not kicking on even when it’s manually lit (??? #citygirlprobs)–and it’s taken a while for all the parts to come in. But our landlord and a maintenance guy are actually working on it as I’m typing this, and Noodle is curled up on my lap, shaking because she’s terrified of new people. So with any hope, I’ll soon be able to shed some of these layers… and stop using candles to warm my hands! (I know. I look a little ridiculous, but it’s cold here, guys!)
Thank goodness for Dex (available at Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor)! My friends over there sent me a few sweaters to get me through the first chilly days of fall, and I couldn’t be more thankful. I’m also so in love with their sweaters. Cozy, warm and soft… and oversized and chunky in all the right ways. Below are some of my favorites!
Love this look! I can’t believe you’re in all those layers! It is still in the 90’s in San Antonio!

No heat in my apartment right now, either….but I don’t think it’s been nearly as cold here as it has there!! Hopefully that gets sorted out soon for you, midwest winters can be BRUTAL (speaking from experience, ha!)
Blonde in this City
They just opened a Lord and Taylor near me and I was looking at Dex sweaters the other day. I definitely see myself investing in a few because like Chicago, upstate NY winters are freezing! Stay warm Kelly.

I cannot stop staring at those boots! They are beautiful! Hope that they get the heat situation fixed soon… Until then, keep warm with lots of Noodle cuddles ;)

Ooo I love your coat! I totally feel you on the no heat thing, my landlord didn’t used to turn it on until the last required day, which I think is like, October 15th or 20th or something, so I’d always be freezing!!

OMG that sweater looks wonderful! I’m so sorry it’s been so cold there! Hopefully they were able to fix the heat.
