One of the brand American Giant’s most-loved women’s products is the No-BS Pant, and today I’m going to be reviewing the three styles!
Before we get started, though, some important information:
The No-BS Pant is available in the original, high-rise, and kick flare. Made in the U.S., the pants feature custom-developed Ponte fabric—54 percent pro modal, 40 percent nylon and 6 percent spandex—and four-way stretch. They’re meant to hold you in, move with you, and never sag or bag out. The material is matte and opaque, so they’re extremely functional and versatile. Wear them while lounging, on a long walk or while momming, but also wear them to work, while running errands or on night out. An easier life, which is the theme of this year!
The pants also don’t fade in the wash, and they’re pill- and lint-resistant. PILL- AND LINT-RESISTANT! That’s crazy! And it’s true. I have a miniature dachshund, and I can attest that they’re the only black pants I own that don’t end up looking like Chewbacca in when I wear ’em. ;)
When developing the No-BS Pant, American Giant tested the product on 65 women of varying sizes and lifestyles, and they ran it through four rounds of prototyping. “Five years and one pandemic later,” the pants keep selling out!

American Giant No-BS High-Rise Pant
I’ll start with the No-BS High-Rise Pant, because that was my favorite cut. Over the last few years, I’ve found myself gravitating toward high-waisted pants, as I think they look more flattering on me. (I have a long torso, and they do a great job at minimizing that while elongating legs!) It took me a while to get used to the feel of a waistband higher up, but now I genuinely find it comfortable. I also think it’s comfier! The No-BS High Rise Pant was no exception here. Super comfy, great compression, and substantial yet not confining. I also loved how soft the pants are, and Emma did too; she asked why I didn’t buy her a pair. 😆 While I’m wearing them with outdoorsy boots for a walk in the above photos, they also look great with heels or dressier booties (snd obviously some dressier tops)! I found sizing to be very consistent with other brands I wear. I wear a size 2 at J.Crew, for example, and I took a size 2 in the No-BS High-Rise Pant. (The inseam is 27″, which is just right for me.)

No-BS Kick Flare Pant
The No-BS Kick Flare Pant is an adorable, trendier option. I love pairing mine with sneakers and boots! I’m a big fan of the slightly cropped cut because it means that the pants don’t awkwardly hit the tops of boots, as other flare, boot and demi-boot styles can. Ankles will likely be exposed in this cut if paired with sneakers or flats, but keep in mine that most booties will cover and keep ’em warm on colder days, making the pants a year-round wardrobe staple. Oh, and don’t you think that these would be great for the office?! I mean, they look like work pants to me! throw on a cute top, blouse or sweater and you’re good to go. Your boss will never know they don’t feature the awful hook-and-eye closure. ;)
Note: The No-BS Kick Flare Pants come in regular and tall versions. Since the inseam of the regular (which I’m wearing) is 24″, it works for most petite sizes, too.

No-BS Pant
This is the original No-BS Pant, and the most popular among customers! It’s available in regular, petite and tall lengths, which is really nice, and it is meant to flatter nearly every woman! The original style features more of a mid-rise, which I think most generations wear—so if you’re not sure which style will suit you best, I would suggest trying this one first. This is a great option for those who have shorter torsos or who like mid- or low-rise cuts best.
