I was supposed to drive home to the East Coast today for Thanksgiving, but as you can see, Chicago had its first snowfall. I was definitely bummed–wasn’t exactly ready for snow yet, and I miss my family like whoa!–but I’m departing bright and early tomorrow morning… and for now, having lots of fun outside with Mitch and Noodle. (Aren’t they the cutest?!)
This is our first snow in the new house, which makes it an extra special one. And also a different one! As we’ve always lived in apartments, we’ve never had to shovel snow before. ;) And then there’s the whole issue of heat. Mitch thinks we should set the heat to 55 and make a fire, while I think we should set the heat to 72 and make a fire, too. (Ha! Back me up, Ladies.) We also don’t know what to do with our wet boots and outerwear once we return home. For the first time, we don’t have a hallway… and we don’t have a mudroom. I guess we need this thing?!
Tonight, we’re makin’ that fire, poppin’ some corn, and watching movies. Any suggestions?!
Anyway, hope everyone is staying warm tonight… especially my Chicago Girls! :)
