Most of us—especially after the last couple of years—have very few pants in our closets that aren’t jeans or leggings. Still, the need totally comes up. (Loved this piece by Shira Gill about how she purged her nicer pants only to find herself in an embarrassing situation.)

Introducing the move-with-you Foster Pants that you’ll actually want to wear. (Use code “kellyinthecity15” to take 15 percent off your first M.M. LaFleur purchase, now through 5/31.) Made out of a thick Italian-cotton blend that’s both structured and stretchy, they’re insanely comfortable yet also tailored—and keep their shape throughout the day. They have adjustable hems that let you adjust the length to full-length or cropped, and they’re easily dressed up with a blazer or dressed down with a simple t-shirt. Oh, and they’re machine-washable.

On this particular day, I wore the best-selling Foster Pants for school drop-off, a work session at my desk, a mid-afternoon walk for ice cream (because it was 70 degrees 😉), school pick-up with Noodle, ballet, a family dinner and bath/stories/bedtime. Now that’s a lot of movement! 😆 I didn’t even take them off when Mitch and I settled into the couch for a show at night, which I feel like speaks volumes, as I normally change into leggings immediately upon getting the girls down.

In case you’re new to the brand, M.M.LaFleur—a female-founded start-up “for women, by women”—specializes in simplicity, and aims to take the work out of getting dressed in the morning for women so we can focus on what’s most important to us. Products are machine-washable, wrinkle-resistant, stylish and comfortable. The M.M.LaFleur team actually says they strive for I-could-nap-in-this kind of comfort! The team also believes that “instead of dressing for the job you want, dress for the life you’ve made.” And that resonates with me. While jobs are important, the larger picture—all the parts that make up a life—is more important.

Anyway, if you’re interested in trying the Foster Pants, I would say that they run true to size! I normally take a size 4 in “real” pants, and a 4 was perfect in these, too. The waist isn’t restricting at all, which is my pet peeve with pants, haha. And don’t forget to use code “kellyinthecity15” to take 15 percent off your first M.M. LaFleur purchase!
