The Oprah Magazine Collection for Talbots: Striped Cardigan / High-Rise White Crop Jeans (Longer Length here.) / Chambray Shirt / Saffiano Tote / Taylor Laced Red Mocs c/o
Exciting news, Friends!
Talbots and O, The Oprah Magazine have teamed up for the FIFTH year in a row. They’ve created a gorgeous co-branded capsule collection called “Cardis for a Cause,” and 30 percent of the net proceeds benefit Dress for Success, which is an international not-for-profit that provides women with with the tools they need to gain economic independence. So far, they’ve raised over $6 million, and have collected over 18,000 boxes of donated business attire, directly benefiting over 125,000 women across the country!
“Cardis for a Cause” consists of one-of-a-kind beautiful Talbots sweaters in a bunch of different styles, so definitely check them out. There is also an in-store event happening today (2/29) at Talbots called “Shop for a Cause,” during which 10 percent of all net proceeds will go to DFS! If you can’t make it, though, don’t worry! You can still shop the cardi collection or make a monetary donation in-store or online until Sunday, March 29th. (Btw: You can also bring in your nearly new workwear to donate!)
Designed by Talbots and O, The Oprah Magazine’s Creative Director Adam Glassman, my cardigan is both classic and trendy. :) Stripes are the perfect way to elevate a look made up of everyday basics (what make up most awesomized outfits 😉), and I love the soft feel and elongating length. And take note of the little ties around the wrists; aren’t they so cute?!
In terms of sizing, I’d say that it runs pretty TTS for Talbots. I’m wearing a size XS here, which is what I normally order in cardigans. I know I’ll get a ton of use out of it this season, and I’m excited to pair it with black and gray t-shirts and darker jeans, too!
