Don’t get me wrong. I love my old sweatpants from high school. But I generally break them out when I’m in the comfort of my own home on weekend mornings or weekday nights. ;) When I’m embarking on a 17-hour drive from New York City to Illinois (with a kayak strapped to our roof–don’t ask), I certainly want an outfit that’s comfortable, simple and easy, but I also want something that’s cute. Cute outfits just seem to add more excitement to the trip!
I settled on stretchy cream cords from BlankNYC (rising up in the ranks of my favorite jeans) and a bright poppy-colored sweater from J.Crew Factory. Sure, the bubble necklace might be a bit much for a long drive, but it easily slips off when it’s time for a nap. ;)
