Last Night on Rosemary Beach

Last Night on Rosemary Beach

AYR Deep End Shirt (I also have and love this one!) / This Year’s Toothpick Jean / Dana Rebecca Bar Necklace / Sunglasses / Faux Diamond Tennis Bracelet / Olivier London Bathing Suits (The brand is sadly no longer in business, but I also love Trotters London swimsuits, which feature Liberty of London prints as well. Minnow Swim is amazing, too.) / Girls’ Striped Dresses / Kim’s Black Amazon Coverup

On our last night on Rosemary, my parents took Baby Conor and told us to take the kids (and wine 😜) to the beach. It was the best gift. I feel like we always have one of these perfect beach nights every trip we take as a family (because it’s either in Ocean City or Rosemary), but this was this one’s. :)

March J.Crew/Factory Try-On

March J.Crew/Factory Try-On

Block-Print Quilted Jacket (70 percent off right now!)/ Demi-Boot Jean in Rinse Wash (Petite) / “The Icon” Essential Stripe Shirt / Suede Sneakers (Also here.) / Tote / Stair Landing Details: Ali Rouzati Runner, Black Cabinet (Newer), Chandelier (Newer), Stair Basket, Marble Side Table, Mirror, Lamp (Newer), Sconces, Flush Mount Lights

It’s a little too chilly to take photos outside right now—at least in my old age. 😉 Crazy to think what I did 10, even five years ago! Stand outside in a dress in the snow? Totes. I’ve got this. 🙈 My life is a bit more realistic these days, though, so some good old-fashioned mirror selfies seem perfect for March in Chicago!

Love vs Design Customizable Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper / Desk / Chair / Newer Lamp / Hydrangea Plant / Speaker / Pinboard / Noodle Art / Wildflowers Canvas / Noodle/Gymnast Art (Just message her for custom orders!) / “Girls Rule” Pendant / Emma’s Dog Painting / World Map Canvas / Solar System Art / British Bird Art

I love writing these posts. Grab a bunch of random recent photos from my phone, upload, and write about ’em. I think they show the very normal side of life, too. :)

Anyway, in the above pic, you can see the girls’ new work station. It’s technically in the room we originally designated for Emma, but she actually moved into Lucy’s room several months ago! They’re far happier together as roomies.

So this workspace will be used by both Larkin Ladies, whenever they need some quiet for homework or want to work on a project. Even Lucy has some “work” right now; she uses Khan Academy Kids! I’ve linked all the art above, but most of it is from Etsy, and I tried hard to find pieces that reflect the girls’ educational interests. Right now, we’re really into the solar system, identifying birds and flowers, gymnastics, geography and art—so I had a lot to work with.

Emma and Lucy shrieked when they came home to it. We still need to adorn the pinboard and decorate the desktop, but I love how it’s turning out! Hopefully it’s a space that will inspire them for years to come. :)

Minnow Swim

Minnow Swimsuits / Liberty Clips via Amazon / Liberty Bows via Etsy

Quick post today on Minnow, which is my #1 for kids’ swim. The company was founded by a mom—who now lives in Charleston—who wanted sun-kissed color palettes, purposeful details, custom prints, and high quality production. Every swimsuit features UPF, with the rash guard collection offering the most protection. (Which is what we mostly buy.)

What I Wore, Cozy Edition, 3/17

What I Wore Cozy Edition

Cotton Herringbone Sweater / Demi-Boot Jeans (Also try these.) / Shearling-lined Mules (Everyday mule version, and more affordable Madewell shearling-lined version.) / Mirror / Black Glass Cabinet / Keystick Wall Sconce / Flushmount Lights / Newer Chandelier

I need to come clean: I’ve largely been living in jeans and comfy sweaters for the last couple of months. And while it hasn’t seemed document-worthy, it’s been really nice. I really don’t think when I get out of the shower; I just throw on my favorite denim and whichever sweater looks like a warm hug in that moment. (Like the one I’m wearing above.) I obviously can’t wait to break out the spring and summer dresses, but for now, I’m reveling in hygge coziness—and fine, the minimal effort I put in 😉—during winter in Chicago. Here are some of my very real looks as of late!
