We had another taste of spring in Chicago the other day, so we grabbed Lucy and headed downtown for an outdoor lunch in the Triangle!
Lucy and I wore new outfits from J.Crew, and let’s just say that Girlfriend was struttin’ her STUFF. 😆 But I mean, doesn’t everyone feel this way when wearing new J.Crew pieces? I know I do. 😉
Cashmere Tee: I’ve been eyeing this top for the longest time! (Which I’m sure you know if you read Recent Finds on Fridays.) And let me tell you: It doesn’t disappoint! It’s wonderfully soft and is more substantial than your everyday tee, making it appropriate for lots of different occasions. (I personally think the black, white and “Heather Stone” colors make for great “going out” tops!) I adore pieces that can be dressed up or down, and this one gets an A+ from me. I’m wearing a small here.
Demi-Boot White Jeans: You need these! I wouldn’t say that I’m 100-percent done with skinnies, but I definitely gravitate to the Demi-boot cut when I reach for jeans in the morning. (Every morning, ha.) I just think they’re so flattering and also comfy! This particular pair runs very TTS, in case you’re wondering. (See all Demi-Boot jeans here. Favorite cut!)
Metallic Sandals: Aren’t these beautiful?! This past year, I cleared out all my painful footwear in favor of shoes that I can comfortably walk in for… well, miles. (City livin’!) And I’ve been pretty ruthless about not welcoming in any newbies. ;) But when I saw read “a cushy footbed and a knotted strap crafted from soft metallic leather” and “they’re super-walkable” on this product page, I knew the gold metallic sandals you see in these photos were destined for my closet! Their superpower is that they look very fancy yet feel like pool slides. (Heeled version here!) My only advice would be to go up a least one half size. I wear a size 7.5 and ended up with the size 8.5.
Raffia Camera Bag: SUCH a big fan of this bag—and of all J.Crew’s camera bags, actually! (I particularly love the “Pale Sand” one. It’s on my wishlist.) They hold a surprisingly good amount of stuff, they help me be hands-free while with kids, and that outer pocket makes life really easy. (Great storage for masks!) The raffia one is such a fun spring/summer spin on the classic bag, too.
Liberty Headband: I know I’m nuts about these headbands, but for good reason! As someone who could never wear headbands on account of the blinding headaches they gave me, I’m so excited to finally feel a pain-free option. They’re also adorable and are so helpful in humidity or on rainy days. (Looks great with hair in a ponytail, too!)
Lucy’s Liberty Jumpsuit: Isn’t this the cutest?! I’ve been on a Liberty kick for the girls this season, thanks to J.Crew. Everything is just so sweet. Have you seen this dress? Sigh.
