Greetings from New York!
Last night, Mitch and I went to the premiere of “You” at the iPic Theater in New York’s South Street Seaport/Fulton Market area, and it was SO GOOD. We even got to meet Dan Humphrey–err, Penn Badgely. Proof forthcoming. ;) The show will be airing this Sunday on Lifetime and you have to watch it! Even Mitch liked it!

(Btw: Emma’s staying at my in-laws’ lake house this week because we’re running around the city for Fashion Week stuff. No shows, though! Did them once when I lived here, and I felt so awkward and unknowledgeable, haha. Just a bunch of meetings and blogger events!)
Back to the event, though. We grabbed drinks at an outdoor popup bar in the middle of Fulton Market, which was really fun–and then we headed into the venue. We got a quick tour of the theater, which features these little two-seater pods, making it the nicest movie theater I’ve ever been to. After that, we listened to a Q&A with the cast, watched the show, and attended the after party. So fun! Afterward, we walked back to our hotel in Soho. It was hot and the air was thick, and the city felt largely abandoned, since it was late-night Wednesday. It was as if we had it all to ourselves!

I’m not looking my best here, haha. Ugh. It’s been a week, guys. If you’re new here, I suffer from chronic sinus infections, and when they hit, they hit hard. I have all the sinus problems: polyps, a bad nose structure, sinuses that fail to drain, and severe allergies–which make for the perfect sinus infection trifecta. I’ve tried everything over the last few years–from nasal sprays and neti pots to allergy shots and decongestant medications–but it’s been almost a full decade of torture. (I’m averaging about one sinus infection per month.) While I’m considering the surgery, I’m terrified of being put under, and of the recovery. (My brother-in-law had sinus surgery last year, and he said it was pretty terrible.) So I’ll probably chicken out. But if you’ve had it, would love to hear about your experience and whether you felt that it was worth it!

Still can’t recommend this dress enough. It’s obviously on a constant rotation. Looks fancy, but it’s a jersey knit, making it unbelievably comfy. (And flattering!) I’m wearing a US size 4 here.
