Today was a dark and stormy day down the shore! But as it was our last day here, the weather at least took away some of sadness that always comes along with leaving. (My heart hurts every time we drive away from this island!)

Mitch and I spent the day running errands and cleaning up the house. It really needed it after the wedding and the week we–along with our entire families–spent there in preparation!
I love cleaning, though. I mean, it’s not like I love cleaning more than I love ice cream or dachshunds… but sometimes it’s nice to do something mindless after being busy for so long! I organized every single room in the house, and windex-ed the heck out of everything else. (You taught me well, Mom. ;))
