Over the last year, I’ve fallen victim to relying on e-mail and other forms of electronic communication to keep up with correspondence. With our fast-paced and on-the-go lifestyles, it’s totally understandable why so many of us send texts and e-mails instead of handwritten notes. But I have to say: when I do get a handwritten note in the mail, it makes my day. I’m incredibly touched, and feel so loved. I’ve even framed several of my favorite cards. (Mostly those involving dachshunds. Surprise, surprise.) Taking the time to send handwritten cards is so important, in my opinion, and I’m making a concerted effort this year to send more snail mail! (My Grammie and mother are incredible when it comes to this. Thanks, guys. Smooches.)
